Everything felt weird. I can't explain the feeling but it's like every thing is completely still and quiet. Nothing is moving.
"Haneen. What's wrong?" He said.
"Something isn't right. I can feel it."
"Come here." Yahya told me.
Before I could get to him, everything started to shake. The house began to crumble. Before I knew it the scene had changed. We were now on a rooftop.
"Why does it feel like I'm in some dream?" I asked.
"Maybe because you are." He moved around.
"I feel like if I kiss you I'm going to wake up."
"Let's find out." He came towards me.
Before his lips could touch mine the scene had changed yet again.
We were now at the beach.
"Why did you cheat on me?" I whispered.
He walked around.
"What are you talking about?"
"Well that's why we broke up. Because you cheated on me."
"Haneen. Are you okay?"
"Don't make me feel crazy."
The waves began crashing. The wind blew heavily.
I closed my eyes.
When I had opened them, I was back in the house. Only difference was, he wasn't there.
I turned around looking for him.
"Boo." He popped out of nowhere.
"This has to be a dream. It's just a dream."
"Wake up Haneen."
"Wake up."
"Haneen."
Multiple voices began screaming. The sound was unbearable. I covered my ears with my hands.
"It's just a dream." I repeated to myself.I shot up in my bed. What the hell.
I stood up and walked to the bathroom. I splashed cold water on my face. That was weird. What could that dream have meant? Yahya appeared in the mirror. I jumped up.
"What's going on."
He ran downstairs. I quickly followed him. Where did he go.
"Looking for me?" He was standing on the table.
"What the."
"Yahya. What is go.." He disappeared again.
I'm going crazy. I am.
"You're not going crazy." A voice said.
"Who said that?"
"Me." A voice whispered in my ear.
A loud beeping noise blasted through the house.I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I was sweating so much.
"Hello." I answered.
"Haneen. I was wondering if you want to go out for pizza. As friends." It was Sam.
"Um. When?"
"Right now."
"Oh, uh. Give me twenty minutes. I'll meet you at the pizza shop."
"Sounds like a plan."I couldn't stop thinking about my dream. What could it possibly mean? I shook it off and got ready to hang with Sam. I showered and did my makeup somewhat simple today. I didn't feel like wearing a ton of makeup. I chose a baby pink sweater and black jeans along with some flats. I paired that with a neutral hijab. I went downstairs to my car and drove to the pizza shop. I sat down at a table and waited for him to come.
"I knew that was you." He smiled as he sat down.
I smiled back at him. "Hey."
"I don't know about you but I'm starving so I'm gunna go order us a pie."
"Sounds good."
I checked my social media until he came back."Let's eat." He came back with a pizza. "I hope you like a steak and cheese pizza."
"You already know." I laughed and grabbed a slice.
"I haven't eaten right in forever. This is so good." I told him.
"Why not?" He asked taking a bite of his pizza.
"Long story. But anyway tell me about yourself. I hardly know you. For all I know you could be a serial killer plotting your next murder."
"Sweets if I wanted to kill you, I would have done it already." He laughed. "But what do you wanna know? I'm an open book."
"I don't know. Um, what's your favorite movie?" I asked.
"The Breakfast Club no doubt."
"You're lying. I love that movie."We finished our pizza after talking for about an hour I stood up.
"Well I had a nice time today. Thanks for the pizza." I told him.
He stood up and leaned in for a hug.
"Gotta go. Bye." I quickly said without hugging him.
"Bye." He said disappointed.
