Sunsets and Tears

I finished doing makeup for three girls today at around noon. After taking snaps and posting it on my story, I headed downstairs for some lunch. Can you guess what I had for lunch? Guess. It's really not that hard. Avocado toast! After making my lunch I sat down and enjoyed every bite. My phone began to ring indicating I have an incoming call.
"Hello." I answered as I swallowed my toast.
"Hey Haneen. Um, I need to talk to you." Yahya told me kind of nervous.
"Uh, yeah. What's up?"
"Just be ready in ten minutes. Bye."
Before I could say bye, he hung up. I quickly washed my plate and went upstairs to get ready. I couldn't decide on what to wear, so I just put some things together. I grabbed my white skinny jeans, black lace top and a hijab to match. I threw on my black flats and heard a beep coming from outside. That must be him. I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs to his car.
"Hey." I leaned in to give me a hug but he moved back.
"Uh, okay." I said.
"How does a movie sound?" I didn't want to make anything out of nothing so I just nodded.
"What movie?"
"Surprise me." I told him.
"You hate surprises."
I just shrugged and looked out the window. Once we got to the cinema, he got out the car and opened my door for me.
"Come on." He took my hand in his.

"Two tickets for 'Finding Dory' please." He told the guy behind the counter.
"Here ya go." The man handed us our tickets and we went inside.
After a million trailers the movie hand finally started. I went to hold his hand but he quickly moved it just as I was about to hold it.
"Hey, are you okay?" I whispered.
"I'm fine." He said harshly.
What the hell.
I love Disney movies and I couldn't even enjoy this one because my mind was focused on Yahya. I felt something wrap around me and I looked to see that he had wrapped his arm around me. The lights turned on which meant the movie was over. I felt like something was wrong. Nothing felt right.
"Can you please tell me what's wrong?" I asked him again.
He stood up and looked at me.
"I can't right now. Let's just go."
"No, what's wrong? I swear to god I'm not leaving unless you tell me what's wrong." I told him seriously.
"Not here, just come on." He grabbed my hand and began walking.

Yahya's POV

We sat in my car and I put my head on the wheel.
"Yahya, please tell me what's wrong." Her voice cracked.
I'm going to hell for this. I am.
"Say something. Just talk to me." She practically begged. "Please." She whispered.
My eyes began to water.
"Remember the first time you told me you loved me? I heard you walk in the room but I was too distracted trying to find the ring you had given me. And you said it. It sounded like a thought or something and I froze. I thought I heard wrong and just then I had found my ring. And when I stood up, you said it again. Only that time you were much more confident. All I could think about was how much I wanted to kiss you. Do you remember?" She was crying and could barely get through with telling me. Tears were streaming down my face.
"Of course I remember. How could I forget?" I whispered.
"Yahya, please. If you still love me, you have to tell me what's wrong."
I couldn't do it. I felt sick to my stomach. She doesn't deserve this.
"Haneen." My voice cracked.
She held my hand. She's too good for me.
"I cheated on you." I said it so quietly that I wasn't even sure she heard.
She took her hand off mine.
She heard.
"Take me home."
"Haneen. I'm sorry." I begged.
"Take me home, now please." She repeated.
I started my car and drove to her house. She didn't say anything the whole ride. She didn't even move. When I pulled up into her drive, I turned to apologize again.
"Han.."
She opened the door and left.
I'm going to hell. I am. She doesn't deserve this. She already had her heart broken. She doesn't deserve this at all. What the hell did I do. I didn't want to kiss her. She's my ex for crying out loud. She kissed me.

"Yahya, baby." I heard someone shout. I turned around to the familiar voice. My ex. She caught up to me and hugged me.
I didn't hug her back though.
"I miss you." She said.
"Okay." I told her. "Why are you here?"
"What, I can't say hi to my ex boyfriend?"
"No. I don't want anything to do with you! I have a girlfriend."
"Maybe this will change your mind." Before I knew what she was doing, her lips were on mine. I pulled away as fast as I can.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" I yelled.
"I miss you." She said.
"You laughed in MY face. You didn't love me back. You were my first real love. And you laughed in my face when I told you I loved you. Who the hell does that." I was so angry.
"But.."
I didn't give her a chance to finish I just walked to my car.

I shook my head thinking of last night. I looked out the windshield. The sky was a beautiful mix of colors. It looked like a painting. Haneen would have loved to see this. She loves the sky. I feel like sometimes she gets lost in it.

Haneen's POV

I ran to my room and locked the door. I couldn't stop crying. This is worse than the picture of him kissing that girl, because this time. It was real. Everything was blurry because of my tears. I went by my window and stared at the sky. It was so beautiful. The sun was about to set and the colors mixed together almost as if it was a painting. Once the sun set, I grabbed my phone and plugged my earphones in and blasted some music. I didn't want to get out of my room and I couldn't stop crying. I guess love just isn't for me.
