(A/N this is inspired by something my internet child told me go visit FuturexPoptart also it's 6am lmao rip me)
(Y/N)'s POV
I stared up at all the competitors. A blonde with green eyes. A girl with bright blue hair (cheeky cameo) her eyes a mixture of green and grey, a very unnatural red head, and a brunette with piercing brown eyes, that I would get lost in if I wasn't here to compete. I set down my guitar, I loved this thing. My dad gave it me when I was young and taught me how to play. I can still feel his hands directing mine when I play.
I was singing a cover of a song, I know originality gives points but I'm not that creative my song would probably be "I'm and emo motherfucker, my chemical romance is back (I wish)! I'm an emo motherfucker and I wear all black!" I started laughing at the thought of my song becoming a reality, not realizing I had been singing it out loud.
"You're an emo motherfucker?" The brunette popped in, already suspicious of my music type. "Can't you tell?" I was wearing gages, a black SnapBack, a black tank top, leather jacket, ripped jeans, and black converse. He looked me up and down, smiling. "I'm Brendon." He went to shake my hand, but I hugged him instead. Because I'm that type of person, grasping all of his bright red suit in my arms. When I released he sassed me back, "I see you're very shy." He started laughing, but only a little. "Well obviously, that's why I entered a state competition. Oh. I'm (Y/N)."
I slipped on my fingerless gloves so my hands wouldn't be sweating like crazy, and when I turned back Brendon was gone. Well. Now was a finer time than ever to practice. "Is this the real life? Is this a fantasy? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality..." I we had to do multiple songs if we moved on, this one I was playing on the piano, it wouldn't be as crazy as the original but I loved the song. "So you think stone me and spit in my eye?" I sang my heart out, but not too much. I still have to perform. I really love bohemian rhapsody.
The next song was an acoustic cover of Let Her Go by Passenger. Wasn't my normal style, but I still enjoyed the song. It was a tear jerker when I played it, usually made me cry, but I loved it all the same. I didn't practice that at much, wasn't very complicated.
Moving onto my finals song. I Don't Love You by My Chemical Romance on guitar. Sure, it was a weird choice but this song means a lot to me. This band does. It's always been my emotional companion when I felt like I had no one, and for that I was thankful.
"I don't love you like I loved you yesterday!"
The competition would start soon, oh god. All the people got ready, the blue haired girl doing something with a ukulele (that's right I play ukulele), the red head electric guitar, the blonde... Looked totally stoned, and Brendon sat there with just a microphone.
