I drummed my fingers on the steering wheel. Classic rock was filling the car, along with a musty odor, that was always there for some reason. We were in the desert right now, only three more hours until Crystal Bay. Brendon was fast asleep. He looked so peaceful, what an angel...

His snores were drowned out by the radio, do I didn't mind them. I just kept my eyes on the road. Kinda. I couldn't help but glance at him every few minutes. Y'know what? It's almost sunset. Fuck Crystal Bay. I pulled over into the desert, rocks crunching under my tires, and shoved Brendon. "Wake up, Bren." I smiled as he opened his eyes, blinking a few times.

"This isn't Crystal Bay? Where are we
(Y/N)?" Brendon looks at me, and fixes his hair by fluffing it around and moving it to the side. "I figured, it's almost sunset, and this deserts nice.. We can just, watch." He thought for a second. And frowned. "But I'm hungry..." Bren whined like a child. I rolled my eyes and reached in the back of my car, I pulled up a bag of bugles. "Will this work?" I say as I adjust my seatbelt so it doesn't hurt.

"I guess." He opened the bag and stuck his hand in, shoving a handful of bugles in his mouth. "You need to chill, Bren."  His cheeks puffed out from the amount of food in his mouth. When Brendon finally swallowed (stop) he smiled at me and closed the bag.

"Alright then.. Ready?" I reached on the back for a blanket and he nodded. Apparently. "Are you ready, Bren?" I said louder. "AYE AYE CAPTAIN!" Brendon screeched. I got the blanket and sat back up, and just stared. Bren laughed a bit but he blushed, hard.

I unlocked my door and got out. I left my door open for the radio, classic rock and a sunset. Beautiful. I laid out the blanket, and sat down on it. I felt Brendon sit next to me, the pink and orange sky shining... "This is really nice." I mumble and hope he hears. He does, and pulls me closer. Brendon's hand sat on my waist... And I rested my head on his shoulder as the sky went red and orange.

You're the Inspiration by Chicago came on, and for some reason my heart was beating out of my chest. I felt so safe, and warm. And... Brendon looked at me as I looked at him, almost as if we were physic, and then we both looked away as one of my favorite songs played.

"From tonight until the end of time. You should know, everywhere I go, always on my mind. You're in my heart and soul."

Brendon looked me dead in the eye and sang, "You're the meaning in my life. You're the inspiration. You bring feeling to my life..." He smiled. "You're the inspiration."

And like clockwork, we both closed out eyes, took a deep breath, and..

And we kissed. A long kiss. Brendon held the back of my head in his hands, my hair in between his fingers. I let go and I smiled one of the biggest smiles I've ever smiled. He brought his face close to mine and we touched foreheads and noses, just staring into each other's eyes.

I could heard every breath being released from his body, it was so peaceful. The music, the sunset. Him. I ran my hand on his face and the sun set.

(Sorry if this isn't the best I waned to write SOMETHING!)
