Sophie rolled over sleepily, letting the sun streaming through the window warm her face, then sat up straight in bed. She was getting married today!
A knocking sound on her bedroom door cleared all of her crazy thoughts.
"Yeah?" She said.
"Sophie, are you up? We need to start getting you ready!" Edaline said.
"Okay, come on in." Sophie rolled out of bed as Edaline and Biana came in, holding makeup and hair supplies.
"Sophie, you're getting married today!" Biana squealed rushing over to embrace Sophie.
"I know! Oh my god. It's finally starting to feel real to me. I'm getting married today, Biana!" Sophie said.
"Okay, you two. We can all freak out later, but we need to get Sophie ready!" Edaline said.
"Alright. I call doing Sophie's makeup!" Biana said.
"Then I'll do her hair." Edaline said, placing the box of supplies on Sophie's desk.
Sophie went to sit down at her desk chair. Biana went through the box of makeup, deciding what to use. Edaline started to brush Sophie's long hair.
Biana started to brush something onto Sophie's face. Sophie closed her eyes, relaxing. She might as well enjoy this.

An hour later, Biana and Edaline had finished Sophie's hair and makeup.
"Sophie, you look so good!" Biana said.
Sophie looked into the mirror. Edaline and Biana had done a really good job.
Biana had done very little makeup, but making Sophie's features stand out. The gold flecks in her brown eyes stood out especially. Edaline had braided part of Sophie's hair back, the rest of it cascading down her back in loose curls.
"Wow! Thank you both!" Sophie said.
"I'm so glad you like it!" Edaline said, checking the time, "now, we should probably get you into your dress. We don't want you to be late for your own wedding!"
"Okay. I'll go put it on." Sophie said, walking into her closet, and to where the dress was hanging.
She took it off the hanger, and stepped into the dress. She took a moment to look at herself in the mirror. This dress had definitely been the right choice. She grabbed the shoe box with the shoes she'd be wearing, and went back to where Edaline and Biana were.
"Oh, Sophie! You look so beautiful!" Edaline gasped.
"Aw, thank you." Sophie said.
Edaline wiped her eyes and sighed. "I can't believe you're all grown up and getting married. It seems like just yesterday that you were coming to live with us."
Sophie went over and hugged Edaline tightly. "I love you, mom." She whispered.
"Sophie! You look so pretty!" Biana squealed, coming back from the bathroom, wearing her teal bridesmaid dress.
"Thank you! You look great too." Sophie said.
"Thanks! We should probably get going soon, though." Biana said.
Edaline nodded. "I'll put your veil on, and then we can go."
Sophie slipped into her shoes, and stood still while Edaline quickly put the veil on her head.
"Are you girls ready?" Grady asked, knocking on the door.
"Yeah, we're coming!" Edaline called back.
The three women went to the door, ready to go up to the Leapmaster.
"Oh, Sophie! You look absolutely wonderful." Grady said, hugging Sophie.
"Thanks, Grady."
"Okay, is everyone ready? We've got a wedding to get to!" Biana said.
"Let's go!" Sophie said.
As they walked up to the Leapmaster, Sophie thought about this day. It was the first step of the rest of her life, and she was ready to take it.
