BIO: Born to Harrison and Amanda Carter. One of the most prominent agents of the STRATEGIC SCIENTIFIC RESERVE during and after the Second World War, originally a code breaker at Bletchley Park. She joined the S.O.E after her brothers death, but then joined the SSR, an allied deep science agency formed to fight HYDRA. On an undercover mission, she saved Doctor Abraham Erskine from Johann Schmidt. The success of this mission then enabled the beginning of PROJECT REBIRTH, hence Carter and Steve Rogers meeting, and the beginning of their short affair. Carter assisted him in his affairs during the war, but was quickly left broken hearted when Rogers died in 1945. Peggy then continued the SSR's fight against HYDRA, capturing the last high ranking officer, Werner Reinhardt. Carter helped Howard Stark clear his name when his inventions had been stolen and handed to enemy's and being branded a traitor. She then travelled to Hollywood where she dealt with Zero Matter, with the help of Edwin Jarvis, Marilyn O'Connel and Howard Stark. Carter helped Stark and O'Connel formed SHIELD, and eventually married a former allies soldier, with whom she had two kids with, and then continue her service with SHIELD. When she retired, she watched as her niece, Sharon Carter, follow in her footsteps, becoming a SHIELD agent. Late into her retirement, Peggy learned that Steve had survived the crash after all these years, although she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and struggled with seeing Steve again. She died in her sleep in 2016.
