3 • "Let's Hear it for Captain America!"

Marilyn and Peggy follow Steve as he walks ahead, determination set in him.

"What do you plan to do? Walk to Austria?" Peggy asked him.

"Steve, at-least think about this!" Marilyn pleaded with him, she didn't want him to get hurt by doing something like this.

"If that's what it takes." Steve said to Peggy, ignoring Marilyn.

"You heard the Colonel, your friend is most likely dead."

"You don't know that." Steve shook his head.

"Even so, he's devising a strategy to take." Peggy explained

"By the time he's done that, it could be too late!" Steve argued, "You told me you thought I was meant for more than this. Did you mean that?" He questioned Peggy, who nodded.

"Every word."

"Then you gotta let me go."

Peggy glanced over to Marilyn before looking back at Steve and nodding.

"I can do more than that."

Steve looked between Marilyn and Peggy as they sat on a plane before speaking up, "You know, you two and Howard are gonna be in a lot of trouble at the lab."

"And you won't?" Marilyn said to him, and Peggy nodded to agree.

"Where I'm goin', if anybody yells at me I can just shoot 'em." Steve says

"They will undoubtedly shoot back." Peggy replied.

"Well, let's hope it's good for somethin'." Steve says as Howard speaks up.

"Agent Carter, Marilyn, if we're not in too much of a hurry, I thought we could stop off in Lucerne for a late night fondue." Howard suggests, Peggy looks over to Steve, the situation awkward between the both of them. Peggy leans towards Steve.

"Stark is the best civilian pilot I've ever seen. He's mad enough to brave this airspace, we're lucky to have him." She explains as to why Howard is piloting the plane.

"So are you three... Do you..? Fondue?" Steve questioned, seemingly confused, he expected Peggy and Howard, but Marilyn too? He seems dazed as the plane starts to get attacked, and he goes towards the opened door of the plan. Peggy looked shocked and panicked as she watches him.

"Get back here! We're taking you all the way in." Peggy shouted at Steve.

"As soon as I'm free, turn this thing around and get the hell outta here!" Steve ordered her, and she looked at him with wide eyes.

"You can't give me orders!" She yelled at him, shocked at his attitude. Steve turned back and looked down at her.

"The hell I can't! I'm a captain!" He yelled as he looked at her, then jumped out the plane. Peggy looked back at Marilyn who just shrugged. Howard landed the plane and the three of them headed to bed for the night. The next morning, Marilyn followed Peggy into a tent where Colonel Phillips was talking to another soldier, as he was typing out a condolence letter.
