"What does this mean?" I asked Deaton as I continue to pace the living room floor that I've been doing for the last half an hour. "It is the effects of being mates, You are an alpha the head female alpha, but to balance out with any male beta's your mate will be the alpha male," he said.

I stopped pacing and looked at him like a deer in headlights. Sensing my discomfort Derek spoke up. "Does it have any more effects other than me gaining alpha powers?" He asked I continue to pace. "Yes actually there are, you to plan to marry the traditional human way, but as werewolf mates, a druid needs to perform another ceremony tying you together in the supernatural form," he said.

I stopped and looked at Derek, "So what happens after that ceremony?" I ask Deaton, not taking my eyes off Derek. "Well, that's when you will be able to feel each other pain if injured, be able to know when the other is in trouble and be able to draw strength from one another." He said.

Derek and I both looked at him in horror we would never want to put each other in pain if it was inflicted up us. I hurried over to Derek sitting on his lap and burring my face in his chest. His scent immediately relaxed me, "well what if we don't carry on with the second ceremony?" Derek asked I turned to look at Deaton when he remained quiet for a little too long.

"You will both die if the second ceremony is not completed," he said there was a collective gasp throughout the living room. Derek pulled me tighter to him, "If you are ever in a fight and one of you get's badly injured, you both die, with the second ceremony tying you together in the supernatural world you draw from each other's strengths you both live and the injured spouse heals quicker than ever before" Deaton said.

I look up at Derek just staring into his eyes as he looked at me, "It's cause and effect of us being mated, but I don't care I love you, Derek Hale and if the option is to either feel your pain and die or have both of us die, I'd rather feel your pain, I'm in" I said and smiled at the love of my life he smiled in return, "Me too" he said and leaned down and captured my lips. we sat around talking about the wedding and the ceremony into the wee hours of the morning.
