Finding Love Again

The Demon She-Wolf

Belle started to shake in my arms. I thought she was just crying harder than before, but she pushed me back and I heard her growling. That's when I noticed that she had started to shift, but she looked different than the last time she shifts just a few hours prior. I stood there carefully watching her and then she looked up and everyone in the room stepped back with a gasp except Deucalion and then she spoke.

"He thinks my father was the demon wolf well he hasn't seen a demon wolf yet" she spoke in a deep evil voice. "Did you know it was hereditary?" I heard Stilinski whisper ask Deucalion, "no idea" he responded in shock. "I'm going to find my daughter, I've got Valack's scent, so if anyone is coming you better move your ass now" she growled out and headed for the stairs. 

I shifted and followed my wife down the steps and I heard everyone else follow. when we gathered in the front yard the entire pack was ready and wolfed out even Stiles, his niece being taken must have triggered the change early. "All of you have a good lock on Kenna's scent I want you to split into two groups and one group head through the woods towards the Hale house the rest of you will follow me" she said, Everyone followed her instructions and broke off into two groups, As I stood by her side then she turned to me.

"Derek, I need you to lead the other group" she said, I was shocked, to say the least, we always went together, "But" I started, "No buts Derek if anything were to happen I want Kenna to have at least one of her parents" She said and looked away from me, "But Deaton said" I started to protest again and she turned to me her face had softened only a bit, "right now we can't go by that, look what happened the night Kenna was born" she said, all I could do was nod my head.

Her hand came up and cupped my cheek I leaned my head down and touched my forehead to hers. "Stay safe" I whispered to her, "Dido," she said and I kissed her lips. It was a little weird because we never kissed when being wolfed out. we pulled apart and turned to our pack and we saw the sheriff coming out of the house checking his gun with Lydia in tow. 

Belle's face completely softened back to her normal human face she was about to do something that he wouldn't like "Daddy" she said, and he looked to her and she walked to him, "Daddy, I need you to stay here with Lydia" she said to him softly "Oh no I'm going, that maniac has my granddaughter" he said trying to argue, but it wouldn't work, there is no arguing with Belle, "Daddy, you won't heal as quickly as we do, and I would never forgive myself if anything were to happen to you" She said, He looked at his daughter with sad eyes, "besides, we will not be in control during our shift especially me, I'm letting the animal take over, the demon and if I were to hurt you..." She trailed off and looked down.

Her father tilted her head back up to look at him, "I'll stay here Belle, just for you" He said and kissed her forehead, she hugged her father and kissed his cheek. She turned and shifted back into the demon she-wolf and we headed off into the woods in different directions, "when someone finds him howl your location, Clear" she asked and I nod as my wife turns and disappears from view.  "Let's go," I said and took my half of the pack in the direction of my old home.

We had been searching for miles but kept coming up empty. I had circled the Hale house for the third time when I heard it. Belle had let out a deep rumbling howl/roar. She found him, we took off in the direction the sound came from. When I came upon my wife and the rest of our pack they were in the middle of battling Valack's lab experiments.

When I say experiments I don't use the term loosely. Some looked half werewolf and half only god knows what the other half was. Belle caught sight of me and the rest of the pack standing there in shock. "Don't just stand there help us" she seethed through her canines. Not needing to be told twice everyone ran in to help.

Deucalion and I were currently fighting a creator twice our size when we heard a cry/scream. I turned to see Belle looking away from me, I looked past her to see Valack and the hunters heading for Kenna and then a bright glow started to come from my wife. Valack stopped dead in his tracks. With them, distracted Stiles ran over and grabbed Kenna and took off into the woods.

The glow from my wife became brighter and soon the light turned to flames, I stood there in shock, "You should be running" she said in a strange voice, the pack and I took off running toward home. When we arrived there was a loud screech like a hawk and then flames erupted over the trees in the direction we just came from.

"An elemental" Deucalion said quietly as we watched the flames die back down and everything turned back to green. "A what?" Stilinski asked, I turned to my wife's father's "She's a phoenix, she can control the fire element" he said om awe, "Wait, my sister, is a phoenix? I thought she was a werewolf?" Stiles asked, "she is, she's both a hybrid," he said as he watched the trees for his daughter, "But Deaton ran test saying she was a normal werewolf," Stilinski said confused. I had to agree with him.

Deucalion looked at us as Deaton came out of my house, "her being a fire element would give off a false read on any test, the Firebird does that to protect itself" he said coming down into the yard. "How's Kenna?" I asked, "She's fine, asleep now there is no reason not to believe that she won't remember a thing from today," he said with a smile. Then we all turned back to watch through the tree's for Belle to appear.

What seemed like hours we see a faint blue glow coming towards us from deep within the woods, as it got closer I could tell that it was Belle, it looked as though she was floating just above the ground. I soon realized that her eyes were jet black and she just stared straight ahead. 

As she cleared the trees her eyes closed, her body floated to the ground and the blue faded out. I ran over to her and everyone followed. I easily lifted her in my arms her breathing and heartbeat steady, but she wouldn't wake. "Her body has shut down to protect itself while she recovers from the shift" was all Deaton said. I carried my wife up to our room and waited for her to wake.
