Ryder's POV:
I sat there, staring out the window, until my phone vibrated in my pocket. It was a text from Nick.
'Nick: Hey. My friends Austin, Kian and I will be at the front entrance waiting for you. See you soon. x'
'To Nick: Thank God were going to school together and Thank you so much! I thought I would have to find my first class alone. You are the best! x.'
'Nick: I know I am. Just doing what bestfriends do. x'
I put my phone back into my pocket as we aproached the huge school.
Drew parked the car and I got out. I went around to his side. I hugged him as he kissed the top of my head.
"Alright, no boyfriends you got it?" He said, trying to sound strict.
"Oh my God." I laughed.
"Okay, if theres anything wrong text one of us. I know it'll be hard with the seperation anxiety but, try to make it through the day." He said smiling.
"Okay, love you Drew." I said before walking off.
Drew's POV:
I was about to drive out when it hit me that she said that she loved me. Holy shit this one of the most amazing days of my life.
Ryder's POV:
I walked to the front entrance where Austin, Nick and Kian were. Well, I assumed it was Kian and Austin.
(A/N: I know she has a cousin named Austin but, it's all cool)
Nick pulled me into a big hug as if we haven't seen each other in years.
"Kian." Kian said smiling.
"Ryder." I said, returning the smile.
The bell rang and everyone walked into the school building.
"Here, I'll help you to your locker." Austin said, while smiling. I nodded in acceptance and we went to find my locker as Kian and Nick went to find theirs.
We found both of ours on the second floor, as they were right next each other's.
Austin took my schedule as I put my stuff into my locker.
We walked to first period, which was right down the hall.
"Alright, everyone have a seat." The teacher, who I'm guessing was Mr. Koehnlien, said.
I sat next to Kian and beind Nick, Austin next to Nick.
"Alright, guys, I'm going to take roll, please stay somewhat quiet while I do this." He said.
When he got to my name he stopped.
"Ryder, are you related to Drew Chadwick by any chance?" He asked.
"Yeah, he's my dad." I answered.
I heared a few whispers around the room.
"I suppose that you're something like your father, Ms. Chadwick."
"Was he really that bad?" I asked.
"Let's say he was quite the troublemaker." He said, and returned to taking roll.
All I ask for is one year without a teacher saying "Oh, your his sister." or now, "Oh, your his daughter."

As we sat in English, our teacher, Ms. Turk, told us how she was assigning us partners on a project.
"Ryder you and Julianna will be partners." Ms. Turk said to me.
Julianna and I got together as Ms. Turk was passing out the requirments.
"This is due at the end up September, you have about a month to work on it. You're going to need to do it on your own time. I suggest you guys talk about when you guys are free during the week now, and maybe trade numbers." Ms. Turk explained.
Julianna and I traded numbers and reviewed the page.
The bell finally rang to signal that we could finally leave.
I went up to my locker with Austin and we got the stuff we needed and our bags.
We walked out to the parking lot and made our seperate ways.
I shoved my stuff into the back of the car and got up front as Drew was in the driver's seat.
"How was it?" He asked, pulling out of the parking lot.
"My history teacher doesn't like me." I said.
"Why not?" He asked.
"Because, he thinks I'm like you." I almost whined out.
Drew just laughed and asked, "who is it?"
"Mr.Koehnlien." I stated.
He busted out laughing and replied, "I had some good times in his class."
"You're the worst." I said, not really meaning it of course.
Now that I think of it, Drew's actually the best. He's the adoptive father I could've asked for. He's the best person to talk to. He's the best person to joke around with. He's just the best.
