I woke up at eight in the morning. I took a shower, brushed my teeth and got dressed. (Above)

I asked my brother if I could go to the sandlot.

"What?! No!" He snapped.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Because." He said, and with that he walked out the front door.

I decided not to go. Even though it would be amazing to show my brother who's boss.

I walked into the kitchen.

"Hey Ma." I said.

"Morning." She said. I grabbed an Apple and poured a bowl of cereal.

After I was done I told my mom I was gonna walk the dog.

"Okay, but make sure your back for lunch." She said.

"Okay." I said as put the leash on my dog Dawson.

He practically knocked down the door when I put the leash on.

He was running down the street. I made him slow down to a walk. Then a baseball came out of no where and hit my on the fore head. I fell down to the ground.

"Ow! What the hell?" I yelled still on the ground. A bunch of guys in baseball uniforms showed up.

"Oh shit! Are you okay?" One asked.

"Bro we hit a chick!" Another one said.

"My dog." I said groggily.

"What?" That guy asked.

"My dog! I was walking him! He's gonna run into the road!" I said.

"I got him." One said as him and some others ran after him.

Once I came to my senses I realized two things.

One, that my forehead was bleeding and two, Andrew Phillips was helping me with it. He pressed a bandana against my forehead.

"I am so sorry." He said.

"I-it's fine." I said.

"No it's not. How about I buy you a pop?" He said.

"I'd love to, but my ma said I had to be back my lunch." I said. Then the guys came back with my dog.

"Thanks. What's your names?" I asked.

"That's Noah, Perry, Gabe, Gerald, Luke, Logan, Mike and James." Phillips said.

"Oh, well thanks guys, but I should get going." I said grabbing the leash.

"Wait. Come to the diamond tomorrow. Ya know where it is?" Phillips asked.

"Um... Yeah. I'll be there." I told him.

"Great. Later." He said.

"Later." I said then walked back home.

"You're late." Mom said.

"And bleeding! What happened?" She asked.

"Oh nothing. I was walking the dog and a baseball hit me." I told her.

"Wow. That looks like a pretty big cut." She said.

"I'm fine ma." I said.

"I should take you to the doctor make sure it's nothing serious." She said.

"Ma! I'm fine." I said.

"Well, I'm getting it checked it out. Get in the car I'll be there in a second." She said.

"Oh, fine." I said. I went outside and got into the car.

I was in the doctors office.

"It's not too bad. It is bleeding a lot, and it will most likely leave a scar." He said. My mom frowned, I thought a scar would be pretty bitchin' though.

"Oh. Well, that's unfortunate. What do we do to stop the bleeding?" Ma asked.

"Use this bandage." The doctor said handing my mom a package.

"Thank you." She said. Then we left the doctors office and headed home.

I was sitting next to Yeah Yeah eating dinner.

"Sweetie, what happened to your head?" Dad asked.

"I got hit with a baseball." I told him. Yeah Yeah laughed.

"Shut your trap Yeah Yeah!" I said.

"How'd you manage to do that?" He asked.

"I was walking the dog and a baseball came flying at my face." I said gritting my teeth.

"Ha ha." Yeah Yeah said.

"Oh, whatever." I said.

After dinner I decided to clock out early. I took a shower and went to bed.

These chapters will get longer as the story progresses, but I don't know how people in the sixties dressed, or talked like so I'll try my best!
