Funeral time.

I got ready for the funeral. All the guys were gonna be there. Plus, Phillips and his family.

I put my hair in a bun and put in my clothes.

We got in the car and went to the funeral. I don't know if I can do this. I don't wanna see his limp, pale, dead body in that casket.

But maybe I'll find closure. Once we went into the building I sat next to Kenny.

"I don't know if I can do this." I whispered.

"Just be strong. Your a tuff girl." He said. I rested my head on his shoulder. He was like my brother.

"Thanks." I said. Then the funeral started. After a long while it was time to give a speech. My mom wanted me to do it. I went up.

"My dad was amazing. At everything. His job, raising me and Alan, and being a good dad. He accepted that I was not like most girls. He accepted that I love baseball and getting messy. He touched many peoples lives. He always found a way to put a smile on everyone's face. I wouldn't be who I am today without my dad. He inspired me. He was a very intelligent man. He will be missed dearly. And dad, if your listening, we hope you are very happy up there. I love you." I said. I went and sat back down. Everyone clapped.

I somehow managed not to cry. I think that was closure. Then the walk by Happened.

I saw his pale body. I'm not gonna break down. I'm not gonna break down. I'm not gonna break down.

I didn't break down. I walked out with Benny.

"So, how are ya?" He asked.

"What do you think?" I asked.

"I think I shouldn't have asked that." He said. I smiled.

"That's one of the reasons I like you." I told him.

"What is?" He asked.

"You always know how to make me smile even when I don't want to." I said.

"That is one of super powers." He said.

"I'm sorry I snapped at you and Lydia. I just needed to get things out. I had been mad for three days and it kinda just came out on you guys." I apologized.

"It's okay. I'm glad you got it out." He said.

"Yeah. Well, I'm gonna go home. And by the way I left my Shakespeare at your house." I said.

"I know. I read some of it." He said.

"Which ones?" I asked.

"Tempest and Much Ado about Nothing." He said.

"Tempest is one of my favorites." I said.

"Cool." He said.

"Bye." I said. Then went to the car.

We drove home. It was almost ten o'clock at night. I went to bed after taking a shower.
