First day of school. Oh joy.

I was walking with Mary and Meredith when Laurel came up to us.

"Well aren't you a sight for sore eyes." I said sarcastically.

"Hey bitch. Thanks for taking my boyfriend." She said about to punch me. Mary caught her fist before she could.

"I know you wern't just trying to hit her." She said letting go.

"Maybe I was. What are you gonna do about it?" Laurel said.

"Oh sweetie. You really, don't wanna find out." She said getting close to her.
"Mar. She's not worth the dirt we walk in." I said then body checked her as we walked by.

"Whoo! Go Lans. You stand up. Representin'!" Meredith said. I laughed.

"You're such a weirdo." I said. Then someone came and hugged me from behind.

I looked up. Benny.

"Hi." I said.

"Hey." He said letting go. I kissed him.

"Ewww." The girls and the Sandlot kids said.

I chuckled. Meredith went up to Phillips.

They were a cute couple. Benny and I walked into school hand and hand.

I went to my locker. Some snooty girls in dresses came up to me.

"What's with the get up?" The girl said. Lets call her... Barbie.

"What's with your get up?' I asked getting in her face.

"Oh this. Its what Girls wear! Not that you would know that." She said.

"Look, I don't need this. So scram." I said.

She scoffed and walked away.

I walked to class alone and sat down.

"This seat taken?" Some guy asked. I didn't bother to look up.

"No." I said continuing to read.

"Huh. I thought you'd be more excited to see me." He said. I looked up.

"Liam!" I said hugging him.

"Hey McClennan." He said hugging back.

"I can't believe your back! I missed you so much!" I said letting go. Then the teacher walked in and taught history.

BORING!!!

Later I walked to lunch with Liam. I saw that Benny and Meredith had my lunch.

I sat next to Benny. Liam sat next me.

"Hey babe." He said.

"Hey." I said kissing his cheek.

"Ooo." Liam said. I elbowed him.

"Who is this?" Benny asked looking jealous.

"One of my old friends. He moved a couple years ago." I said.

"Oh." He said.

"So Mer how's your classes?" I asked.

"BORING. I'm way too freakin' smart for those idiots." She said annoyed.

"Hey! I'm I'm your class ya know." Benny said. Mer blushed.

"I know." She smirked.

"Hey!" He said again.

"I'm just jokin' Ben. Not about the idiots thing though. You're pretty smart." She said.

"Thanks." He said.

"Anytime Benny boy." She said. I'm glad they're such good friends.

Then the bell rang.

"I gotta go babe. A.P Math." I said.

"Ugh! I should be in that class! You know what. I'm gonna talk to the principal." She said.

"Want me to go with you?" I asked.

"Nah. I'll do it after school." She said.

"Okay well it's been real. We gotta leave." I said. Then we went to class.

I was doing homework in the dugout. Benny was hitting the ball with Smalls.

Benny was always at the Sandlot. Summer. Winter. Thunder. Hurricane. Tornado. Lightning. Fire. Alien Attack. He wa there.

I admire his commitment to baseball. That's why I like him so much. Among other things.

"Lans?" I heard someone say.

"Uh huh?" I said snapping out if my thoughts.

"You seem kinda spaced out." Smalls said.

"I'm fine. I gotta get home though. Bye Smalls." I said.

"Later." He said.

Then I went home. Quickly.

Meredith POV.

I walked into the principles office.

"Hello Ms. Williams. I'm here to talk about the classes I've been put in." I said.

"What about them dear?" She asked.

"They are too easy. I know all the stuff they're teaching." I explained.

"Oh. Well, I suppose we could try you in more challenging classes. After all you do have a 3.9 GPA." She said.

"Thank you so much." I said then left.
