Chapter 23: Newbies vs Experience

Prower's POV

It was the day after... and i could tell from the sound of others moving.

"Huh." I said as i woke up not to bed but rather in the library.

"Shit did we fall asleep here!" Getsu exclaimed loudly as the others woke up.

"What time is it?" Tetley asked franticly.

"The clock says... 7:35 am." Atlas said to tetley.

"What time is our fight with team shadowspeed?" Getsu asked.

"9 am." I told getsu and he looked frantic as well.

"We need to get moving now... but first breakfast." Getsu said as his stomach growled.

"Do we have time for breakfast?" Tetley asked.

"I dont know... it takes around thirty minutes to get to the arena from here..." i told tetley.

"Okay then breakfast will be had as we move." Getsu said smiling at us as we left the library.

"I wonder if everyone is waiting for us?" Tetley asked and as he did i looked back and saw atlas walking really slowly.

"Hey atlas i understand why you are walking slow but it is best to have a drive to get past this." I told atlas but just like me his responce was small.

We all went to the arena and heard the crowd as we got closer... we were eating as well.

"It is nearing time for the first match of today... Team shadowspeed vs team watersabre." I could hear the announcer from still a bit away from the arena.

"We need to get faster... We are gonna be late." Getsu said running faster and even I ran... Guess my nerves weren't getting to me.

We reached the arena puffed out and then the announcer called out us and Capricorn's team... I got shaky as all my nerves kicked in at once... I guess breakfast was a bad idea.

I threw up and then Getsu just stared at me. "I know my cooking isn't great but..." Getsu joked.

I got up but was severely shaky and honestly I don't feel like I can fight like this.

"Okay let's do this... Let's go team watersabre!" Getsu and Tetley said looking excited... I was far from that.

We entered the arena... Surprisingly atlas didn't run for it but as we entered the battle area he did basically freeze up but I was basically the same.

"Heh don't think we will go easy on you just cause your newbies." Capricorn said and Getsu held his paw out to him.

"Yeah well we will still win... This is gonna be a challenge but one I accept." Getsu said and then smiled.

Capricorn smiled. "Bring it." Capricorn said smiling.

I was feeling sick but I had my mega stone with me but I don't think I even know how to use it.

"The battle will begin in 3... 2... 1!" The announcer said and then the crowd went wild and team shadowspeed wasted no time in the fight.

Getsu used poison jab on Gouri but she dodged and then Tetley chased after Capricorn but Mushi used psychic and knocked Tetley into a wall.

Atlas froze and got hit by a high speed night slash... It wasn't very effective but even so... It still looked like it hurt.

"Prower do something your standing like a statue!" Getsu yelled as he went in for another poison jab on Gouri this time landing the hit.

Capricorn snuck right up on me. "Too easy." He said before hitting me with a night slash then a point blank dark pulse.

I was on the ground... Those hits really hurt but a voice sounded in my head again. "Use the power you have been given." The voice said to me.

I felt odd again and then blanked out.

Getsu's POV

I was getting more hits on Gouri but I noticed Prower frozen up... He wasn't moving but then he glowed like before.

"So this is your mega evolution... I didn't get to see it last time." Capricorn said charging at Prower but Prower grabbed Capricorn as he went for the night slash then Prower hit Capricorn with aqua tail.

"Hmm he seems a little off again." I said quietly then I focused on Gouri whom had just used will-o-wisp... I managed to dodge it and hit back with a final poison jab... I knocked Gouri out.

Tetley seemed to be being thrown continuously by Mushi and atlas he wasn't doing anything.

Prower just stood facing Capricorn. "Let's do this... You won't win." Capricorn said speeding up but Prower didn't move.

Prower grabbed Capricorn again this time using a point blank ice beam which half froze Capricorn but Capricorn managed to still hit Prower... Which made him fall on his knees.

"Damn it... Well one left at least." I said then went for swords dance then I charged at Mushi using crush claw and Mushi just grabbed me with psychic and rammed me into Capricorn which freed him.

"Thanks Mushi." Capricorn said charging at Prower and this time Prower took the hit full on.

Prower held his ground but his mega evolution faded and he passed out... Leaving atlas and I against Mushi and Capricorn.

Since I still had my attack boosted due to using swords dance all I needed to do was land a brick break on Capricorn and then I could knock him out.

I jumped on the chance and as I did Capricorn went to use dark pulse and as he did I landed the brick break... And then I felt so weak and heavy I fainted... It is all up to atlas again.

Atlas's POV

I was in a corner area of the battle field and my other teammates were out cold and I honestly didn't think I could fight against both Capricorn and Mushi.

"We forfeit!" I shout looking at everyone... The crowd went silent... They were in shock most likely... And I honestly was still really scared.

"Okay well team watersabre forfeit... So the win goes to team shadowspeed." The announcer said... The crowd was still silent... And I am sure Getsu will hate me.

"Hmm oh well a win is a win." Capricorn said... He did look pretty injured... But from how many attacks he took that makes sense.

The match was over within half an hour... And we team watersabre lost... And all cause of me.
