Chapter 2: Joining a Pokéguild

Prower's P.O.V

A few days had passed since initially becoming friends with Getsu and I had been able to slightly act less nervous around him but I still wasn't able to open up to him so well.

We met at the Oran berry bush that we usually met at and promised to meet at the end of everyday. "So Prower do you have any dreams... If your wondering my dream is to join an amazing Pokéguild." Getsu told me his dream and I just kept eating my Oran berry. "Aren't you gonna tell me your dream Prower?" Getsu asked looking a little grumpy.

I felt offput by Getsu's question and honestly I knew in my mind I didn't have a dream... Well except for coming out of my shelldar... Yes I say puns in my head. "I-i-i don't have a dream other than being less nervous." I said quietly. "Ah I see well... There is a way of that... You have opened up to me... Sort of... But I was thinking for quite some time now that I wanna join the Abomasnow Pokéguild... Maybe to build your confidence you can join with me Prower." Getsu explained and I just went pale.

I felt a little sick... Pokéguilds are full of Pokémon and most of them are scary... I couldn't join one. "Well judging by the way you look I am guessing your too nervous... Hmm well you will have a friend with you." Getsu said and I didn't respond so well to that...

We both ate and Getsu kept bringing up why he wanted to join a Pokéguild and I just kept quiet as usual... Time flew past as I just zoned out from hearing Getsu just keep going on and on. "Prower... Why are you so nervous around others anyway... Timidness usually springs from something?" Getsu said knowledgeably but I just stayed shaky. "I d-don't know." I told Getsu.

Getsu just stared at me again then went back to eating. "Well maybe you need to figure that out... As your friend I can help you with that... Because that is what friends do." Getsu said and I thought about it then smiled a little. "M-maybe... Promise me that you will always help me." I told Getsu and Getsu just smiled.

"Sure I will always help you because I am your friend." Getsu told me and then I felt a new nice feeling like I gained hope for a time when I won't be so nervous.

After that afternoon we went our desperate ways then as I laid in my rather small bed in my hut I thought about everything and that I may have hope yet to become confident. "Thank you Getsu... For entering into my life." I said to myself before falling asleep.

I woke up later than usual in the morning and went to the Oran berry bush as usual to meet up with Getsu and there I saw him... I froze up a little but then had to remember Getsu was my friend. "S-s-so I decided that I need to do stuff to get over my timidness and as such will join the Pokéguild with you." I told Getsu then shuttered. 'What am I saying I can't go somewhere with a lot of others... I couldn't bear it.' I thought but I just ignored my brain.

"Great I knew you would come around to it... I just hope that it does help you but I know I will be happy and with you so no need to be nervous." Getsu told me but I will still be nervous... But with the small hope in my heart that fear subsided but didn't go away.

"Well let's go then... They don't stay open long on weekends." Getsu said before grabbing my paw and then pulling me in the direction of the town... The town I managed to avoid so well. Getsu ran and I was shaking as he basically dragged me with him.

We reached the entrance to the Pokéguild... Well that is what the sign said and well the entrance did look like an Abomasnow's head. There was a weird plate like thing on the ground near the entrance. "It says on the sign that this is the pokéscanner." Getsu told me looking confused at what a pokéscanner was.

"Maybe we have to stand on it..." Getsu said before moving to stand on it. "Zangoose... The Pokémon is Zangoose... You may enter... Next Pokémon please stand on pokéscanner plate." A buzzing sounding voice said and then Getsu motioned me to step on the plate. "Don't worry... I am here with you." Getsu told me and I nodded.

I walked onto the pokéscanner and then the voice sounded again. "Floatzel... The Pokémon on the pokéscanner plate is a floatzel... You may enter." The buzzing voice said and then the gate lifted and the entrance was open. "Well that was eventful." Getsu said and I nodded a little but as we entered and went to the second floor my anxiety clicked in and I went very pale and his behind Getsu.

"Hello... Are you the one that just came in?" I heard a voice that wasn't Getsu's but I just kept my eyes closed. "Well actually..." Getsu started speaking but then got interrupted by the other voice. "We here at the Abomasnow guild do not have time for showing people around or buying from persistent salesmon." The voice said and then I felt Getsu's fur spring up a little. "Me and my timid friend here are here to join the Pokéguild." Getsu said and he had sounded a little grumpy but then again I could only tell that from sound and feel as I had my eyes shut really tight.

"Hmm well then you both have to fill this form out then I shall introduce you to the Pokéguild leader... Be warned however this isn't for the faint of heart." The owner of the voice said and as a I barely opened one of my eyes I saw most likely the owner of the voice right in front of me... I jumped and screamed a little. "Hmm are you sure you wanna join this Pokéguild... You seem very afraid." The Pokémon said... It was a Zigzagoon... He looked a little confused and I was still shaky from what I could tell.

"Well if you would both move over to the waiting area to sign your joining forms... There are writing utencils there already." The Zigzagoon said and Getsu grabbed my free paw and dragged me since I was so frozen from my anxiety. "Cmon let's get these things signed... And join the Abomasnow Pokéguild." Getsu said and he smiled back to me... I felt happy but still frozen.
