Chapter 6: The Poképlay

Prower's P.O.V.

We finished our breakfast and as we continued walking... Well I was more or less being dragged... As usual. "Hmm celestial park should be this way... But it is still a fair distance away." Getsu told me and as we were in town I just went pale and shaky. "Why did I say yes to this... It might be my dream to be in a Pokéguild but still I just know this is gonna be lame... I hated acting and drama class in school." Getsu kept ranting on and on.

After around three hours of going down the same path we came across a sign which said Celestial park on it... This is it... I saw the really big stage and then just felt my life kind of disappear... I can't do this... I can't do this.

Getsu saw me flipping out and put his paw on my shoulder. "I don't wanna be here anymore than you do... As I said I hated drama and acting but since this was selected as our first request we must go ahead and do it." Getsu said kinda grumpily and I just went more pale... How did I get myself into this...

Getsu continued to drag me until we reached where the staging area was. "Ah you must be the two that were sent from the guild... I am Mr. Mime and I am the manager of the pokeplay troupe... And what are your names... And your team name as well?" The Mr. Mime asked us and I was too nervous to speak so Getsu did it instead. "My name is Getsu and this is my timid friend Prower and we are team watersabre." Getsu told him.

"Ah very good very good... Now I shall show you to the actors area... Now I can't have autographs signed... You are here to be stand-ins... I just hope you are better than the last stand-ins we had requested for." The Mr. Mime told us and Getsu looked at the Mr. Mime with not such friendly eyes.

We entered where the other actors were... Well I was dragged basically but still. "Ah Mr. Mime are these two the stand-ins?" A leafeon asked the Mr. Mime. "Yes they are Tetley... Please give them the scripts and there roles... And get them ready ASAP... The pokeplay is gonna start in two days." The Mr. Mime said and then the leafeon nodded and then Mr. Mime left.

I was still pale and shaky as the leafeon approached us. "Here are the two scripts... One is for the prince role and the other is for the princess role... Don't worry the costume and make-up people can get you looking like your characters... Now since we have only two days left it is imperative you learn your lines inside and out." Tetley told us and I just stayed pale and mute.

The other actors came up and introduced themselves. "Hello my name is Dinz and I am a kadabra." Dinz told us in a very overacting voice... Then the other actor... Or should I say actress since she was female. "Hi my name Stell and I am a delcatty." Stell told us and from her tone I could tell she was a little less than happy... She sounded mopey.

"We do have a fourth member... A quilladen named Atlas but he is quite the nervous wreak around anybody other than us three... Even then he tends to hide away... And is usually pale like you there." Tetley told us and pointed at me to make the point... If this atlas is as nervous as that... Then I guess this troupe isn't really that lucky.

"Hey if you wanna meet Atlas follow me I know his hiding spot." Tetley told us and we complied with him... Well Getsu had to drag me along but still... I had decided instead of being dragged... And hurting my feet... That I would walk very slowly.

"Could you hurry up?" Tetley told me and I just kept looking down and didn't respond. "Do you even talk..." Tetley said and I just twitched a little... Rude much I do talk just I am afraid to say anything.

"Anyway Atlas tends to hide in this room... Now stay silent." Tetley told us and well I just stayed quiet. "HEY ATLAS! I know you are in here!" Tetley yelled and then a Quilladen popped out from behind some props. "I told you never to yell when I was ner-" Atlas stopped speaking when he spotted us with Tetley then he ran/rolled out to another area.

"Err... I think I better get him alone... Wait here." Tetley told us before running in the same direction Atlas rolled off in. "Wow even you are braver than that." Getsu said in a blunt way. "Well... Nerves are hard to get over... I have always been timid... Ever since I was four..." I told Getsu and Getsu looked surprised at how long I have been timid for.

We had waited twenty minutes and in that twenty minutes I decided to look at the script... I had the princess role... That isn't awkward at all. "Hey I am the prince... Still lame but at least I am the star." Getsu said and I would of hated to burst his bubble but the play's got two main characters the prince and the princess... It is a love story.

We waited five minutes more and then Tetley returned with... Atlas... Whom was tied up. "Hi my name is Getsu... I am one of the stand-ins and this here is Prower the other stand-in and my teammate." Getsu told Atlas and I just stayed frozen... Atlas was basically crying however... That is what I used to be like when I was younger... I cried when I was in a group larger than one or if I was around anyone whom wasn't family.

"H-h-h-hello... M-m-m-my n-n-name i-i-is a-a-atlas... I a-a-am a q-qu-quilladen." Atlas stuttered so much that it was difficult to tell what he was saying... I felt like I was looking in a mirror... A balloon shaped mirror... As quilladen are generally round.

"Now atlas no need to be nervous and no need to cry... They aren't that scary." Tetley told Atlas but Atlas just shivered and acted unresponsive. "Well now you have met us all time for the first group practice and troupe chat." Tetley told us and we followed Tetley, I followed very slowly and at a distance, and entered into the troupe's room and well as soon as we did Tetley undid the string holding atlas and as he did atlas took off to the spot he was in before. "Here we go again." Tetley sighed and ran after Atlas.

"Seeing that kinda makes me feel better about myself." I whispered into Getsu's ear and he smiled... I still felt nervous and basically like a pale statue. "Yet you are still frozen." Getsu whispered back and I twitched in anger from what he just said... Even though it was true.

Tetley came back with rope and atlas was tied up in the rope. "Well now I think we can start." Tetley said and the others looked already prepared whilst I had my head down and was reading the script for the princess.
