Octavian sat on the couch in his apartment in New Rome. All praetors had apartments when they were in office, and Octavian’s was much handsomer than the rest - at least, in his opinion. Reyna thought it still had much too many stuffed animals.

A knock on the door. Octavian instructed the knocker to enter. A centurion ran into the room and bowed his head.

News from spies inside the groups of traitors has finally arrived, much to the pleasure of Octavian.

The Greeks, as disgusting and inferior as they are, are taking a plane to San Francisco, and shall arrive that night. Octavian smiled wickedly at the news, and instructed the centurion to order as many legionnaires as can go without leaving Camp Jupiter and New Rome completely unguarded.

But, that wasn’t all, much to Octavian’s amazement. An Egyptian spy, which they had barely any of, had caught sight of Commander Song and two other members of the Legion with his lost prisoner, Jason Grace. It would be wonderful indeed to crush all of their hopes and dreams.

Especially the young girl known as “Doctor.”

A ba flew overhead, watching in horror as the news unfolded. The three Romans he had spoken of had been so careful not to let anyone see them from the Egyptians. Who could of possibly known?

The guard on their side of the door!

The ba flew off in search of it’s body, knowing exactly where it was.

Another spirit, also visiting for only a brief moment, was too focused on Octavian to notice the bird with a human face going off.

She was too focused on the fact he was planning the capture of the entire airplane she was on.

“Oceana, how could you possibly sleep through all this?” Kyle asked, taking off his ear buds that were spewing music at top volume.

“I need to talk to Chiron. Now!” Oceana said, squeezing past him and looked around for where they would put someone in a wheelchair.

“Oceana, you look concerned,” Chiron said, looking up from his paperback book.

“Sir, I just had a dream about the Romans.”

“Romans, you say?” Chiron asked rhetorically, dog-earing his page, and putting it in his lap.

“Sir, Octavian is going to go to the airport and capture us all.” Oceana hadn’t realized she was raising her voice. The entire airplane was silent, which was unusual considering the amount of Big Threes being shoved back here. Everyone stared at her, the demigods in shock, while as the attendants in horror.

“We might be experiencing some slight turbulence, so please fasten your seat belts,” the pilot said, breaking the silence. Clicks of seatbelts rang throughout the whole airplane.

“Oceana, we’ll discuss this later. Please, return to your seat.”

A swift nod, and off she shuffled to her seat next to Kyle.

“Romans?” Kyle asked, fear hiding behind his perfect eyes.

“I’m a Roman,” Chase replied from across the aisle. Noah was leaning his head against his shoulder, and drooled uncontrollably. “Do you have a problem with that?”

“No… it’s just, Camp Jupiter Romans tend to hate Greeks with a fiery passion. They’ll take all of us, especially you for being a traitor.”

Cassandra’s words hit Chase hard. He looked down at his feet, then over towards us, since Cassandra had the window seat, her brother the aisle seat, and I took the middle.

Noah yawned, moving his head towards the window. Chase rolled his should and took off his jacket once Noah had decided the window was more comfortable than a Tyche kid.

“Guess we should think of a way out, huh?” Kyle asked, leaning back in his seat, closing his perfect, multi-colored eyes.

“Yeah.”

Eon sat up in the instant her ba returned to her. She had been sleeping in the basement of the Jackson household along with the Williams and Kaysen. The Williams were a nice married couple from England, but had been quick to explain that Kaysen wasn’t their daughter, unlike rumors may say.

She examined the room with her eyes in a flash, as she normally does each morning. She got out of her sleeping bag and tiptoed upstairs, careful not to wake anyone. This was a matter for the ears of the pharaoh only.

Most of the Egyptians were sleep outside, except for the ones who had been in the room earlier.

Including the traitor.

Thank you pipermcclean for sending in a character! I’ll put her in as soon as I can! I literally got the email saying you review right as I was finishing up the last sentence.
