Oceana stared at the New York sound tearfully, remembering the events that had changed her life forever. The events that had ended on that day, exactly two years before.
They ended with the capture of Octavian, the tyrant that had kept Jason Grace behind bars below the soil of New Rome, had kidnapped a timelord and her companions, and killed her friend in front of her.
"Hey, you okay?" Eon asked, sitting down beside her. Eon Stone, the daughter of Sadie Kane and Walt Stone from the future. Her cousin, Devraj Kane, had went back to the future to rule Egypt like he was destined to.
"I can't believe it's been two years..." Oceana sighed, digging her toes into the sand. She felt the water strengthen her as it splashed onto her bare legs.
"Yeah. Two years since Kaysen..." Eon trailed off at the word. She had never once said that she had died. She was too scared to admit that she was gone.
"Since Kaysen what?" A new camper asked. She had joined the week after the incident. Her blonde hair was stuffed into pigtails, TARDIS blue ribbons keeping them in place. She was tall, being six feet tall and only sixteen.
"Died..." Eon answered, tears rolling down her cheeks.
"You know as good as I do that she's not, Eon." The girl sat down beside her. No one knew her name, her parentage, anything. Most assumed she was a legacy or something, and just hanged out with her aunts and uncles.
"What's your name, anyway?" Oceana asked the blonde stranger.
"Kaysen."
