"Who are you and how did you get in my TARDIS?" He pointed his sonic screwdriver at Kaysen like a weapon, as though the sonic portion of the screwdriver can cause her to spontaneously combust or something of the sort.

She walked up to him and pushed the sonic down so that the angle was facing downwards. She then began to walk in circles, mentally commenting on her lack of fashion skills in the past. That jacket looked awful, covered in a disgusting layer of soot and ripped to shreds. The bow tie, why would that be considered "cool?"

Unlike the Doctor, Kaysen had a slight Scottish accent, similar to that of Amy's, but she was going more American. She had a habit of biting her bottom lip and twirling her hair when she was thinking, both of which is was doing at the moment, desperate to put the puzzle laid out right under her nose, but unable to see all the pieces.

"Same way as the Romans that were obviously in here. I opened the door and walked inside."

"Will you quit being sarcastic with him holding that?!" Kyle asked, obviously frightened by the screwdriver. Does he even know that it's a screwdriver?

"It's a stupid screwdriver that makes noise! I have a more primitive version of it!" Kaysen held out her sonic screwdriver, which just looked like a metal box with a metal tube connected to a lightbulb and wires, with two buttons.

"You made a sonic screwdriver out of extra parts?" The Doctor got closer and took the sonic screwdriver and began to see if it actually worked.

"You made a TARDIS out of spare parts."

His eyes widened in surprise at the fact she knew that small fact about him. She could practically see the complex system of gears turning in his head, attempting to make sense of what she just said.

"Who told you about that?"

"No one. I was there."

"How could you of been there?" The Doctor was obviously confused, in that weird way that he expresses confusion. "Auntie, Uncle, and Nephew all died. Was it the Ponds?"

"You remember the time when you were on your tenth regeneration and your hand got cut off on Christmas Day and Rose was still your companion?"

"Yes, I do. Jack brought that hand all the way to the end of time."

Kaysen looked down at her feet. The puzzle was only partially done, she knew that. But the least she could do is finish the outside pieces. Looking back up and tapping her sonic screwdriver against her leg, also a nasty habit, she prepared the explanation she has planned in her head.

"I think that something similar to that occurred when River gave me- er, us, her regeneration energy back in Germany. I theorize that this is what River would of looked like if she hadn't regenerated before turning fourteen or however old I look."

"So you're saying that you're me?"

Kyle stood off to the side, utterly lost in the complex puzzle of Kaysen. He watched the exchange between the Doctor and her, struggling to understand their words. Regeneration? His hand got cut off? They were both there, obviously, so how did he manage to get the hand back if it was cut off?

"Yes, I'm you. I have all your memories, all your experience, all your past emotions. But I'm a new person! I have emotions and feelings and all that complex, annoying stuff that comes with being a teenage girl. I have crushes, I have friends, I have a strange need to keep secrets. I live every breath like a teenage girl who has the memories of a nine hundred year old timelord who is lonely beyond explanation, and has done things that shouldn't be possible like recreating the universe and have everything you changed in the past still occur despite the fact that you no longer existed."

There was a long silence between the two before the Doctor had composed himself enough to give a reply.

"But that doesn't make sense, you don't look like River! She was a blonde back in the sixties when she was in that space suit, remember?"

"Hair color changes!"

"So, what do you think we should do, then?" The Doctor was fixing his ripped bow tie, and fixing his hair as well. He had ran into a few Romans or so, and dropped a series of boxes onto their thick skulls in the pursuit. They were somewhere still in the TARDIS, but the TARDIS was sending them running around in circles for more than a week now.

Kaysen opened the doors and stepped outside to a busy airport scene, hands in the pockets of her hoodie. Explaining her plan to the two, Kyle listened but was watching everything around him.

How did they end up at the airport from New Rome? Why does this look so-

Stepping out of the building, was a mass of children wearing a bunch of random colors. Blue, black, green, gray, orange, yellow, and more. Varying in age from seven to college age, Kyle stood frozen watching them as a man in a wheel chair soon followed them.

"They're here," he said, the first thing he's said since the comment on sarcasm.

"Good. You get the middle bus, I'll get the back. Doctor, you get the front!"

Kaysen ran to join the mass of children, Kyle quickly following, trying to hide his appearance from himself, who he knew would be watching from behind a potted plant with Oceana, Chase, Annika, and his sister. Maybe Noah, if he was awake at this time of night.

"Chiron, we got a plan," Kyle said casually to the centaur.

"Good." The old centaur kept wheeling his way to the bus. "Tell Oceana that I didn't want to startle the younger children."

"She's not part of the plan, sir. Just me, and two timelords."

Kaysen ran up to Kyle and handed him something. "It's a sonic screwdriver," she explains, handing over the steel box with a light and wires attached, a quick examination revealed that there were two buttons, one green and one blue. "The green will only work on one object at a time. The blue will work on anything held down. Make sure everyone covers their heads before using the blue button."

They stood there in an awkward silence for what felt like an unnecessary amount of time before Kaysen hugged him. She held him tight, and he was taken back by surprise. After a second, he hugged back, and they went their separate says.

"She knows how to use a sonic screwdriver." Chiron looked at Kyle with a smile. "I'd say she's a keeper."

"I think she might be delusional."
