"I miss you a little, I guess you could say, a little too much, a little too often, and a little more each day."

Reid was the only thing on my thoughts for the last three days. Once I was actually allowed to think of him without taking a shot, he consumed my thoughts.
I woke the next day with a massive hangover and a very drunk Kitty passed out on my floor. That was the day we caught up. She bombarded me with random questions about what had happened since we had talked last and who this "mystery guy" was.
The next day Kyle had a big talk to me about the "one night" I said Kitty was staying, she was asleep on the couch at the time of our conversation.
Now it's today, Monday. Kitty and Kyle are arguing in the kitchen, and I'm getting ready to go to the gym before work. I grab my bag and head out the front door, both Kitty and Kyle calling my name. I ignore them and run down to my car.
By the time I get to the gym Kyle and Kitty have texted me both twenty times each. I haven't replied to any, I haven't even looked at them, and frankly, I don't care.
I walk through the gym and out the back doors to the pool. I take off the flannel and shorts I was wearing to reveal my black bathing suit.
"Breathe in. Breathe out." I close my eyes and dive into the water. The water rushes around my face, then consumes my entire body. My muscles stretch as I bring my arm out of the water. It flows through my fingers and I bring it back into the water, repeating the motion with both arms until I get to the end of the pool. I flip back around and continue swimming.
"Damn girl, you really have some strength," Reid says with a chuckle after I beat him for the second time in timed laps. I crawl out of the pool and he follows close after. I smile, I've known him for about two weeks now, and today he decided to tag along to the gym with me. I was walking out of the building to get my car and he saw me and asked what I was doing, next I knew, he was in the passenger seat of my car. Ironically he had already had his swimsuit with him, for "short notice pool parties" according to him.
"I could beat your ass in just about anything," I reply with a sly smirk.
He cocks his eyebrow, "Are you so sure?"
"Quite."
He laughs and smiles at me, "So naive." He runs at me and scoops me up before I have time to think. I feel myself being lifted over the pool before he drops me into the water. I rush to the surface and exhale deeply as I come out of the water. His tall frame is curled into the fetal position on the ground and he's laughing harder than I've ever seen anyone laugh.
I shove his shoulder, "Jerk." He chuckles and sits up.
"Have you ever just looked at water and contemplated death?" He asks. I hadn't ever, really. But now that I thought about it, it leaves a lot of opportunities. "Don't think I'm insane or anything, I just contemplate death a lot," he chuckles and smiles a little. He looks down at his legs.
I move so that I'm sitting closer to him, "If you didn't contemplate death at least once a day, I don't think we could be friends, that makes you almost too sane for me." He grins and looks over at me, flashing his perfect teeth.
"I can roll with that."
Even though he claimed he was sane, I knew he wasn't. Anyone who thinks about death in that depth, and that often typically has a dark past to go along with it. But I think that was one of the reasons I was so attracted to him, he was completely and totally insane.

So this is a very short filler, and I hate myself because I don't like short fillers, but oh what the hell. I really hope you guys are enjoying this book, vote and comment please.
I was reading through one of my old books and I used to tell my readers to get a chapter to a certain amount of reads or votes or comments or something, it was so dumb, don't make me start doing it again. hahahahahahah
But seriously.
I love you all BIYA
