It was there
It was always there
The subtle way her
Lower eyelids sagged
The slightly pink tint
That was always in
The whites of her eyes
The way her head
Remained towards the ground
When she talked
The unseen burden of life
That she carried on her shoulders
Everywhere she went
But all of this
Was unnoticed because
No one bothered to look
Or bothered to even care
