The next day, Michael wasn't having a good day. Luke didn't exactly know what caused it, but assumed it was something to do with his depression. He didn't wanna get too close to Michael when he had a bad day because last time, Michael said something he didn't mean. He just wanted to help Michael though.

"Did you take your medicine?" Luke asked, walking into the living room.

"Yes, Luke." Michael mumbled, keeping his eyes locked out the TV. "What about yesterday? I don't remember you ta-"

"Luke, stop, okay? I don't need you to interrogate me. Yes I took my medicine, yes I have bad days, no you can't help." Michael said, extremely annoyed with Luke.

"I'm sorry." Luke whispered, and sat on the the opposite side of the couch. "I just want you to be happy."

"Yeah, well I'm not." Michael spat.

"Sorry." Luke said again.

"Stop saying you're sorry like you actually get what I'm going through. You're really not helping anything at all." Michael said angrily at Luke before getting up, and leaving Luke in the living room.

Luke's eyes filled with tears, and he just felt like Michael wasn't happy with him. He wanted to make things right.

He walked to the kitchen and looked through the the cabinets before finding blueberry muffin mix. He lightly smiled and pulled it out of the pantry before finding a bowl.

He ran into Michael's room, seeing if he should make Michael something else to eat too.

"Hey, are you hungry?" Luke asked, and Michael stood up off of the bed, and walked over to the door before slamming it in Luke's face and locking it.

Luke was a bit hurt by the action, but he didn't let it get to him. He just walked back to the kitchen and proceeded to put blueberry muffin mix in the pan.

He set the timer, and walked to the living room. He laid down on the couch, and continued to watch whatever was on.

-

"Luke!" Michael yelled, causing the blonde boy to jolt out of his sleep. Something was obviously burning, so he ran to the kitchen behind Michael.

He watched as Michael opened the oven, and a load of smoke came out.

Luke felt his eyes fill up with tears again for the 2049205572th time today. He messed up again.

Michael put on an oven mitt and got the charcoal muffins out of the oven.

"What were you thinking?!" Michael asked, turning on the fan so all the smoke went away. Thankfully, his smoke detector was busted. He would need to get a new one though.

Luke felt his lip tremble before he placed his head in his hands and just cried.

"Don't cry.." Michael whispered, hugging Luke, and Luke continued to cry on his shoulder.

"I-I just wanted to make you happy, but I don't even know how to do that." Luke cried, so Michael backed up.

"Are you kidding me, Luke?" Michael asked, making Luke look up.

"You make me so happy, and I don't mean to yell at you like I do, but sometimes I just can't be helped." Michael said, and Luke sniffled, trying to quit crying.

"I'm tired of seeing you cry so much." Michael said, and hugged Luke again. "You make me so, so happy."

"I do?" Luke asked, and Michael smiled, pressing Luke's back against the counter.

"Of course you do." Michael said, and kissed Luke's lips softly.
