"Hey loser. You're coming with me." I heard, and felt someone grab my wrist.

"Michael, I cant." I said as he dragged me away from the subway entrance.

"Yes you can." He said.

I gave up resisting and just walked beside him.

"What's your biggest dream?" He asked, and I shoved my hands in my pockets, wanting them out of the cold wind.

"Um. I don't know. Tell me yours." I said, and he sighed.

"I don't know. Fall in love, and take my husband to Disney world." He said, and I laughed. "You'll get there one day." I told him.

"So. You wanna come back to my place and watch a scary movie? I'm in the mood for one right about now." He said, and I looked up at him. "Scary movies are so not my thing. I won't be able to sleep for days." I said, and he playfully rolled his eyes, walking me over to an apartment complex.

"Ah. Don't worry about it. I'll protect you, goldilocks."

It was past 10 p.m. but I was still with Michael.

The movie was at the point where I was cradled on Michael's lap, hiding my face in his neck. It was so scary.

At some point, I must've gotten tired of waiting for the jump scares to pass, and I accidentally fell asleep on his shoulder.

I was woken up by someone carrying me.

"Michael?" I asked, and he carried me into what I was assuming was his room.

He helped me out of my jacket.

"I need to get-"

"No, Luke its okay. You can just stay in my bed tonight. I'll just sleep out there. Don't worry about it. Go back to sleep." He said, and pulled the blankets over me.

The next morning I woke up and remembered that I was in Michael's apartment. I walked out of his room, and saw that he has slept on the couch.

I looked around for him, and walked down a hallway. He came out of a door with a toothbrush in his mouth.

"Michael, I could've slept on the couch."

He walked into the bathroom and finished brushing his teeth.

"Don't worry about it. I wouldn't have let you sleep on the couch anyway. It's pretty uncomfortable." He said, and I frowned a little. "We could've shared the bed. You have a king size for crying out loud. You really didn't have to do that." I whined.

"Don't sweat it." He said, and playfully pushed my shoulder.

"I still feel kinda bad.." I said, and he hugged me, ruffling my hair. "Listen, Lucas. It is okay. I wouldn't have let you sleep on the couch anyway." He said, and I nodded.

He pulled away from me, and I lightly smiled at him. "Now, giraffe. What are we gonna do today?" He asked.

-

The whole day, me and Michael cuddled on the couch and watched truTV. It was just as friends though. Usually when people cuddle, it means something more, but I just wanted to be held.

It felt amazing to be in Michael's arms, and I somehow convinced myself that these developing feelings for him were okay. Maybe my dream is to fall in love too, but I'm just not too good at it yet.
