"Yeah, that really-" I feel someone tug my arm and I turn around to see a shocked Mariana.

"Lexi we need to go." She says.

"What? I'm having a conversation here." I reply looking over at Abby. I helped her pick up her books and she was telling me why she's been out of school.

"It's Dylan and Lucas, they're fighting." She says quickly pulling me. My eyes widen.

"What! I'll talk to you later Abby." I run with her down the hall and see people all surrounded. We push through them and I see Dylan pinning Lucas against the lockers. His muscles in his arms are flexed and I lose my breath a little.

"Dylan what are you doing?!" Lucas asks holding onto his forearm. His voice brings me back and I run over to them, and grab Dylan's shoulder.

"Dylan stop! What are you doing?" I ask shocked. What's gotten into him??

His eyes look at my hand on his shoulder and then go up to my face. He looks at Lucas and let's go of him.

"I'm sorry dude. I don't know what's gotten into me." He apologizes looking guilty. Lucas and I meet each other's gaze and I nod.

"It's fine man. Are you sure you're okay?" He asks putting his hand on Dylan's shoulder.

Dylan nods. "Yeah, I've just had a rough morning."

"What are you all looking at? Get a life." Noah shouts out walking down the hall. Everyone starts to turn around.

"Yo what happened man?" Mason pats Dylan on the back.

He shakes his head. "I don't know, sorry Luke."

Lucas nods. "I just need some air." Dylan walks down the hallway and I rub Lucas's arm.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Yeah. I didn't want to fight him so I didn't do anything." He says.

"I don't think today's his day." Jason says.

"I'm going to go check on him." I start walking but Emma's hand stops me.

"I don't think you should do that." I look at her and see her holding Jacksons hand.

I turn around to all my friends. "He won't hurt me, he's just upset about something. I'll be back soon." I turn around and follow to where Dylan is. I get out of the school and see him walk to the side of the school. I quickly follow and find him sitting on one of the benches. I walk over to him and sit next to him.

"What happened back there?" I ask taking off my backpack.

He shakes his head. "I don't know."

"You're lying." I whisper facing him. He looks up from the floor and meets my eyes.

"My dad just gave me a hard time this morning and I took it out on Lucas."

"Am I allowed to ask what your dad said?" I ask.

"He didn't want me to play in the game this Friday." He sighs.

"Why?"

"He's just worried I'll get hurt."

I frown. "Yeah but anything you do could get you-"

"I got in a car accident last year and I almost died." He blurts out. My eyes widen and he presses his lips together shaking his head.

"That wasn't how I wanted to tell you." He sighs.

I open my mouth to ask but he shakes his head. "I'm not ready." He stands up and walks away and I'm left there blank and unfinished. I want him to come back and I want to chase after him but I can't move. I can't think. My lips part and I stay there.
