I fix my hair quickly, not wanting to look like I just woke up and came over. The door opens, me expecting Dylan I smile but instead I see Melanie in a transformers onesie, her black curls all over the place. My smile suddenly grows ten times bigger, as I ruffle her hair.

She hugs me tightly. "Lexi!"

I laugh a little. "Hello cuteness," I hug her small frame back. "Where's your brother?"

"Melanie? Don't open the door without me!" I look up to see Dylan jog up to us, a shirt in his hand, making him shirtless, and wearing black rimmed glasses. My mouth goes dry.

"Lexi." He says a little breathless, immediately taking off his glasses and putting on his shirt.

Aww

"You wear glasses?" I act dumb. He looks good in glasses. And shirtle-

"Yeah," he scratches the back of his neck. "Yeah I got bad vision in the fifth grade."

Is he embarrassed? Why did he take them off? "It looks good on you." I smile, trying to boost up his confidence.

"Nah I look weird." He leans against the wall. Is he being serious?? I shrug, shutting the door, and pick up Melanie. "I think you look hot." I walk past him, smirking once I do. I don't even need to see his face, it would probably make me laugh. Sometimes I can't believe how he doesn't see that he's extremely attractive. Some days he's all cocky and then others he's all shy and stuff. I set Melanie down, and sit down on his kitchen counters.

"So what were you doing right before I got here?" I ask, as he walks through the high arch.

"On the phone with Sean, he was calling about how there's already leaks at his place." He chuckles and I nod. "Makes sense."

"Thing is, Sean has money. Like a lot. I don't know why he won't just get a nice place. He's cheap with everything."

"Really?! Damn." I smile. Why did he take off his glasses when he saw me? Does he think I'll judge him? I would never.

"And what were you?" He asks, setting the glasses on the counter.

I shrug. "Came back from doing my errands." I lie. I hate lying to him.

"Hmm." He nods. As he looks at me he squints a little. He can't see me clearly. This fool. I roll my eyes, grabbing his shirt, tugging him towards me. When he's almost in between my knees, I reach for his glasses.

"You, Dylan Foster, sometimes needs to stop worrying so much about what people might think." I open up his glasses. "Because either they don't care, or when it comes to you," I tug him closer, to where my legs are touching his sweatpants. "Think you look good constantly." I look up at his beautiful face. His brows are slightly raised, asking me with his face instead of his words. "Because," I carefully place his glasses onto his face, and he smiles a little. "You do." I push them a little higher onto his nose. "Constantly." He laughs, and I join him, running a hand through his hair. "Like so much it's annoying." I laugh. I drop my hand onto my lap. Admiring this beautiful human being right in front of me.

How did I never notice you before?

His smiles falls, and so does mine. "What?"

Oh no. Oh shoot. Did I just????!!! "Huh?" I ask dumbly.

"You just said something." He stares at me. I said it out loud. I said it out loud. OUT LOUD!!!

"Uh," I hop off the counter pushing him aside. "That's what I meant. I don't know how I didn't notice you before. You know, when we started the year I didn't notice you. I just don't know how, cause you're you and my friends knew you so..." I want to kill myself. Is there a hole big enough that I can crawl into?? God I'm such an idiot.

He narrows his eyes at me. "Lexi, where we're you today?"

I feel my heart skip a beat. "I told you, I dropped some things off to my cousin." I try to smile like it's no big deal.

"You don't talk to the rest of your family, lex." His face goes serious. "Please, tell me where you were."

"I-I was." I can't. I can't tell him. He'll think I betrayed him or something. He won't trust me again. "I was out with James." I tell the truth. Suddenly he goes limp. He doesn't try to hide the hurt in his face. I hurt him. I actually hurt him.

"You what?"

"It wasn't like a date thing or anything, I just wanted him to tell me what you guys were fighting about that's all. Then I ditched him." I take a stand of my hair and put it behind my ear.

"What did he tell you?" He says weakly. Like his world just fell apart.

"He actually never really answered, just said he made you mad." I answer, "then I left." It's not the total truth. But there's a reason why he hasn't told me those things. There has to be. And I'll wait. I already messed up enough.

"Oh." He frowns. "That's all?"

I nod. "Pretty much, it was kind of a waste of time. And money, I had to get a bus to get back home since I didn't even let him drive me back." I chuckle, trying to lighten the mood.

He nods. "Listen don't listen to him. He's a liar. And can manipulate you. He tries to seem like a good guy, making you think he's changed or something but he's a bad person. He'll always be a bad person."

"How do you know him?" I ask. I believe Dylan that he's a bad person and probably a liar. But I really want to know if he lied to me today.

He shakes head. "It doesn't matter, it's irrelevant now. But I knew him nevertheless, and there's a reason I don't want you around him. The guys mental." Dylan takes a step closer. "He could hurt you, and more." Another step.

"I believe you." I nod. "I don't trust him either."

He smiles. "Good. Maybe you and I can beat the shit out of him one of these days."

I laugh, walking up closer to him. "Please."

"I know right." He chuckles. "What a little cunt."

At that I almost choke. "You are just-" I shake my head and out of nowhere, without thinking, I hug him. "Sorry I lied, I hated every second of it believe me." He hugs me back, tightly.

"I do. I believe you."
