"has anyone been over recently? friend, sibling, parent?" louis' doctor asked.louis was at one of his monthly doctor visits, and was about to shake his head 'no', but remembered a certain curly headed boy.
"ehm, a friend," louis said. the doctor nodded.
"and how did you feel around him? did you feel nervous, did you talk a lot, what happened?"
louis thought for a moment. he realized that he wasn't as quiet and shy around the boy, and actually wanted to be around harry, unlike how he is around everyone else.
"I," he paused,"I felt normal, I suppose. we um, played footie and I wasn't shy or anything, was actually nice having him around."
the doctor raised her eyebrows, then nodded.
"have you been taking your meds, mr. tomlinson?" she asked, looking at louis through the top of her glasses.
louis froze in his seat, because no, he hasn't been taking his meds, he hasn't even stopped by to get them.
"um, no?" louis whispered.
the doctor seemed confused at first, then stared at him in a glaring way.
"louis, we've went over this. you need to be taking your medicine, it'll help you with your disorder-"
"please don't refer to it as a disorder."
"right, it'll help with what you have, don't you want to act like you do around your friend with everyone else you come in contact with?"
louis looked down at his lap and fiddled with his fingers.
the doctor, mrs. masarak, sighed.
"you need to take them. you can't keep skipping it. if you want to get help, which is why you are here today and why you have come all these other times, then I suggest you take them. i'll go get your pill bottle and I expect a 'yes' the next time I ask if you have been taking your meds."
-
"stupid, stupid, stupid," louis muttered to himself as he ran a hand through his hair.
louis hated it. hated living with a problem in his body that forced him to shield himself from the world.
he put the pill bottle with his meds in the cabinet next to the sink in his bathroom. he fixed his bracelets on his wrist and decided on taking a shower to clear his mind of everything. doctors, disorders, life, etc.
as louis stood in the warm shower (just the way he liked it, not too cold, not too hot), he thought about how different he acted around harry. he just couldn't wrap his head around why he actually acted like a normal person, (the way he should be), around someone he had just met. louis honestly had no idea.
louis was now sat on his bed, pill bottle in his hand, contemplating whether or not he should take them. it literally has his name on it, he figures he should take them so he doesn't have to lie to his doctor the next time he has a visit. he takes two pills out of the bottle and pops them into his mouth, swallowing after taking a swig of his water bottle, which was still there from the night before (he gets thirsty in the middle of the night).
louis hears a knock at his door.
sighing, he got up to answer it. louis opened his door, finding zayn standing in front of him.
"oh, hey zayn," louis said, confused.
"hi," zayn stared at louis, as if waiting for him to say something.
