03 ; "I'm the Great Bambino!"
AVERY SAT BEHIND THE drugstore next to the boys, Benny wasn't there yet, but she wasn't surprised because she's the one who told him to invite the boy who had gotten hit by the ball earlier that week. Hopefully he'd be there soon and help her escape from all the stupidity of the rest of the gang.
Ham got up from the small crate he was sitting on, "Listen to this. Check this out." he stuck something in his mouth, "I'm wa gweat bwambwino."
"What?" The boys chorused, Avery watched as Benny and the kid from yesterday walked up behind Ham, the small boy now had a black eye.
"I'm wa gweat bwambwino." Ham repeated, the boys were still confused, Ham took the gum package out of his mouth and sighed, "I'm the Great Bambino."
"Oh." The boys laughed, Avery stood up and walked towards Benny giving him a kiss on the cheek and stood next to him, the tan male smiled.
"Whose that?" The small kid asked, the boys all stood up and turned to look at him. Avery shook her head and looked up at Benny who was also staring at the kid.
"What? What did he say?" Ham asked surprised, his eyes were wide as he stared at the boy like he had three heads, Avery rubbed her temples—here comes the judgement.
"What were you born in a barn, man?"
"Yeah, what planet are you from?"
"You never heard of the salted swat?"
"The titan of terror?"
"The colossus of clout?"

"The crash, man." Benny said trying to clarify who they were talking about, he looked towards Avery who had been picking at her red nail polish.
"Oh! The Great Bambino! Of course." Avery instantly could tell he was lying and just wanted to be accepted, she felt bad for him, "I thought you said the great.. Bambi."
"That wimpy deer?" Ham asked sounding greatly offended, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Yeah, I guess, sorry." The kid looked down at the ground in shame.
"Anyways. Scott, that's Timmy and Tommy Timmons." The brothers spit on the ground, "Mike 'Squints' Palledorous." Squints rubbed his glasses clean on his shirt as he spit on the ground, "Alan McClennan, we call him Yeah-Yeah." Yeah-Yeah spit on the ground while fidgeting with his glove.
