PLAN INTO ACTION PART 2

RENAE'S POV

Three days later

Today was the day I found out what I needed to know to put my plan into motion. Since I convinced West to take me with him all I had to do was find out if she was in the pack or not. That would be simple enough since all it would take is a little cleverness to break into the alphas office and do a quick flip through the files.

"Ready babe?" West asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be"  I told him excitedly.

I was just finishing getting ready and we were about head to Drew's territory. Susan was watching Wesley and West left the beta in charge while we went to the meeting.

We hopped in his white Mercedes and in an hour and a half we were there.

West helped me out of the car and everything was pretty much the way I remembered it. The house was huge and well put together. Not as extravagant as ours of course but nice nonetheless.

"Alpha West, Luna how nice to see you right this way" said a tough looking guard said bowing. We followed him and he led us to a big conference room.

The rest of the alphas were already there. Drew motioned for us to take a seat.

"West how are things?" he asked smiling.

"Never better" West replied with a smile.

"Obviously. Congratulations on the baby"

"Thank you" West said grinning.

"I see you brought Renae today as well. Always a pleasure" he said smiling at me but being quick to divert his gaze.

"Thank you Drew the pleasures all mine. If you don't mind me asking where is Gabriella?" I asked him.

"O she's upstairs I'll have her come down I'm sure she would love to see you since West barely lets you out" he teased.

He looked to be mindlinking her and it wasn't long before she came through the door.

"Renae how nice to see you" she said.

"You as well" I told her embracing her.

"West do you mind?" I said asking his permission to leave.

"Of course not love I'll let you know when we're done" he said smiling.

"Last time I was here I do believe you promised me a tour" I told Gabriella as we walked out closing the soundproof door behind us.

"Yes of course I would love to show around. Congratulations on the baby by the way I can't wait to have another" she said.

Her and Drew had twin boys and a little girl.

"I for one can. I love being a mother but I think I will give Wesley sometime before I consider a sibling" I told her hoping to end that part of the conversation.

She just nodded in understanding and thankfully there was no more mention of having children.

"Well on this floor are basically spare bedrooms, the dining room, kitchen and game room" she explained.

"How nice" I said pretending to be interested.

We went up a couple flights of stairs and I was desperate to figure out where Drew's office was.

"On this floor there are more bedrooms, a couple bathrooms for guests since each person has their own, there is a nursery and a playroom for the pups. O and Drew's office" she said nonchalantly. 

Little did she know she just peeked my interest. I immediately started to look around. It didn't take much to spot it. The word 'office' was written and gold and I couldn't help but smile. I almost didn't notice her giving me a weird look.

"O a nursery and a room for the pups how nice" I said trying not to raise suspicion.

"Yeah I designed them myself would you like to take a look" she said excitedly. I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Yes absolutely"  I told her.

I followed her into the playroom but my mind was on the office the entire time.

"I painted these walls myself. I also spent a week shopping for toys. The kids love it in here when their not outside"

"Wow it's lovely" I said pretending to admire it. In all honesty it was cute, but I wasn't interested.

All of a sudden a pack member walked in.

"Luna, sorry to bother you but Sarah needs you right away"

"Is she okay? " she asked panicked.

"I think so but I was sent to find you"

"Alright then. Renae would you like to come? I hate to just leave like this" she said concerned. Now was my chance.

"No,no you go I'll wait here. I completely understand. A Luna's work is never done. I don't want to intrude I'll just wait here and watch some tv" I said hoping she went for it.

"You sure?" she asked uncertainly.

"Positive" 

"Okay then. I won't be long"  she said following the boy.

I gave them a few minutes to get downstairs and out of the house. When I heard the door close I sprinted to the office like my life depended on it, which it did.

I silently thanked the moon goddess as I turned the door and it was unlocked.

I walked in and spotted the file cabinet. I almost cursed when I pulled it and it was locked. I was about to loose control. I couldn't be caught in here and I didn't have much time.

"Think Renae think" I told myself pacing. Then it hit me. I knew a spell.

"What is now closed open to me let it unlock without a key" I said praying it worked. I closed my eyes and pulled. I almost did a victory dance when it opened.

I frantically flipped through the files looking for her name.

I didn't know if I would find it but I hoped I would. Luck was on my side. There it was. I swear I heard the angels sing when I pulled it out. I went over to the copy machine and quickly made a copy of each page making sure I didn't miss a single one.

I stuffed the papers in my purse and replaced the file making sure to lock the cabinet back before I left the room and closed the door.

I ran back to the playroom just in time. I heard the door open and footsteps come up the stairs.  I flipped on the tv and sat down pretending to watch it.

"I wasn't too long was I? I hope you weren't too bored" Gabriella said walking in.

"No not at all I barely noticed you were gone" I told her smiling.

"Great. Shall we continue the tour?"

"By all means"

She showed me the rest of the house and then the outside. Just as we were done West mindlinked me.

"We're finished sweetheart" he said.

I told Gabriella and she said Drew linked her as well so we made our way back. Everyone was leaving when we got there. West and Drew shook hands and we said our goodbyes.

"So how was your day? Did you enjoy yourself?" West said once we were outside.

"It was fine and yes I did enjoy myself. Thank you for bringing me"  I told him.

"Anytime" he said kissing me on the cheek.

We were almost to the car when I felt a burst of anger. That could only mean one thing. I turned and saw Lacey getting out of her car. She froze when she saw West. I looked at him and he was frozen as well. This couldn't be happening.
