Recap from Chapter Four:

“Alexandria Conley, this is my daughter, Kimberly Vlaydon. Kim, this is one of my students from last year, Alexandria.” Ms. Vlaydon introduced us, and we shook hands. I recognized Kim. She lives in our sorority, next to Emily.

“So you call her by a nickname, but not mine?!” I asked, adding some sass. I placed my hands on my hips.

“She is my daughter, not my student.” She said, walking away, taking Kim with her. Kim shot me a smile, before her witch ... I mean mother, dragged her away. Great. Another year with “The Witch”.

My classes went on like normal, just in the middle, Ms. Vlaydon would introduce herself as the new dean at the school, which scared me because that means I would be seeing a lot more of her. After I finished, Emily and I headed back to our sorority to see Jack and Jesse, standing outside the front door. I ran up and hugged Jack, as Jesse and Em moved closer to each other by the moment.

“Emily, I wanted to ask you something.” Jesse asked and held out a ring box. It had a sapphire ring heart, and the box said Will you go out with me? . I nudged Jack and when he looked, I gave him I-expect-more-now look. He put his hands up in the air like he was in trouble, and handed me a pearl necklace.

“That’s better.” I whispered in Jack’s ear, making him chuckle. Both Jesse and Em looked curiously at us. I blew it off and ran off to the dorm, Emily hot on my tail. I ran into the elevator, which left Emily one option of catching me: the stairs (dramatic music).

Emily was chasing me, because I sort of stole the sapphire ring and ran off with it. I know what you are thinking. You should give it back to Emily is what you are thinking. Well, no. Nada. Nope.

I locked my room, and within two seconds, my door was being practically broken down by Emily’s fists. I slid the ring under the door, and the pounding stopped.

“Thank you!” She screamed, walking away. I could hear her shoes, walking away, towards her room. I heard a knock at the door, and stumbled to look out the peephole. There was Kim.

“Homework delivery!” She announced, and I kindly took the stack of papers away from her. This sorority is the best. I sat down on my bed, pulled out a notebook, and started writing.

THE NEXT DAY...

“Hello class, sorry I am late. My son is stupid and decided to ditch school today, so I had to bring him to school.” Our teacher slipped into class ten minutes late. We all shrugged, not caring, since him being gone gave us more time to write.

“Let me guess, senior with his girlfriend.” One of the kids said, and the whole class snickered. What, it was true.

“No, he was sick with pneunomia. Duh, Anthony!” Our teacher sarcastically remarked. He turned back to the board, and wrote in large letters PLOT. We all knew what he meant. We were going to have a large discussion about the different plots in different genres. Great.

A knock was heard on the door. The teacher aid, a man with a Justin Bieber hair flip, opened it to reveal Angel, standing in the doorway.

“Ah, my best student. Where are you these days?” Our teacher, Mr. Burgundy, asked, giving Angel a hug. She obviously fake-smiled.

“Pretty good. I just wanted to drop this off with Emily and Alex.” She replied, finding us in the crowd and walking up to us. She handed blue papers, invitations to the End-of-Six-Weeks Bash. You can only get in by invitation.

“Bye, Mr. B.” Angel waved, as the last click of her black heels, hitting the wooden floor, made a sound.
