Recap from Chapter 5:

“Ah, my best student. Where are you these days?” Our teacher, Mr. Burgundy, asked, giving Angel a hug. She obviously fake-smiled.

“Pretty good. I just wanted to drop this off with Emily and Alex.” She replied, finding us in the crowd and walking up to us. She handed blue papers, invitations to the End-of-Six-Weeks Bash. You can only get in by invitation.

“Bye, Mr. B.” Angel waved, as the last click of her black heels, hitting the wooden floor, made a sound.

I went back to my room, which happily had a cup of hot chocolate and fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies inside. From who?, I wondered. Then I saw it, the drawing I saw Jack doing when I first met him. Back when he was still with Jane.

I opened my laptop. It was flooded with messages from Em, Jesse, and Jack. I started writing the eighth chapter of my book. It was getting to the climax. Before I could finish a thousand words, a FaceTime message popped up, from my step-dad.

FLASHBACK TO BLJ

“Hey! During dinner, we get to see the advanced copy of Chris’ new movie?” She said, holding up the case. Chris turned also, smiling his perfect godly teeth smile.

“AVENGERS!!!” I screeched, seeing my mother and Chris putting their fingers in their ears. I ran and jumped onto my swirling comfy chair.

“Guessing you’re a fan?!” Chris chuckled, making me grin a mouthful of broccoli and salmon. Chris and Mom exchanged a glance, then broke into laughter. After I saw, I laughed to. I swallowed as my mom popped in my new favorite movie of all time.

END OF FLASHBACK

Chris: Hey Alex!

Alex: Hey Chris.

Chris: So how’s college going?

Alex: Good, I love it.

Chris: Who are you and what did you do with Alex?

(both laugh)

Chris: I wanted to tell you something.

Alex: You’re marrying my mom?!

Chris: Has Melody been speaking to you?

Alex: No, I saw the diamond ring on her finger last year.

Chris: Oh, well I sent you the invitation to our wedding through email.

Alex: Thanks. Can I talk to Lillian?

Chris: I am actually filming the Avengers sequel right now.

Alex: And you didn’t invite me?!

Chris: Do you want to say hi to some people?

Alex: (puppydog face) Yes please.

[Chris walked over to Black Widow, who just kicked a villain into the Empire State Building.]

Johanna: Who is this, Chris?

Chris: This is my step-daughter, Alex. She is in college right now.

Johanna: Hi Alex.

Alex: Hi. I love your character.

[Director called at Chris to get off his phone and film a scene.]

Chris: Well, see you at the wedding, Alex.

The call was ended, and I returned to finishing my book. It had just hit 3k reads on Wattpad, and a publishing offer from Sourcebooks. My dreams are coming true.

I noticed screaming down the hall, which was just Serenity (a junior) and Becca (another junior) arguing about a guy, who was dating both.

“He’s my boyfriend. John is my boyfriend.” Serenity punched Becca in the arm. Becca looked about to cry.

“Did he tell you he loved you? He told me.” Becca rebuttled, pretty good for a girl, who hated nerds. Then, something weird happened. They walked towards the elevator in a robotic function. Uh oh.
