new blood

A prickly situation.

That is how the rest of the school week went for me. The brothers argued about something that I couldn't comprehend and the blond, who's name was Yui, kept getting hurt, but she never told me how or why.

It was on Saturday, when I was exploring the gardens, that I came across the magnificent rose garden. It was bigger than any I had ever seen and I decided to see what kind of roses were there. There were roses of all different colours and sizes, but there was one rose bush that wasn't blooming at all.

I decided to take another look and I touched one of the buds. The something amazing happened. The roses started to bloom all at once. I watched in amazement as one by one the roses went into full bloom. They were magnificent in colour. They had petals that were red on the outside and white on the inside.

I smiled and stood from where I was kneeling and turned around, only to find the Kanato was there. He was just as shocked as I was at what the flowers had done.

"How did you do that?" He asked, dazed by what he had just witnessed. I fidgeted, not really knowing, but I kind of had a theory.

"I'm not really sure but I think it might be because of... Well... It's sort of hard to explain without sounding crazy" I rambled before shutting up and scuffing my boots against the ground. Kanato started to laugh before he ran off, leaving me once again alone in the rose garden.

I decided to stay there and look at more of the flowers before I went inside.

It was almost dark when I went back inside, but as I got to the lounge on the ground floor Yui ran and hid behind me. She was shaking in fear. I looked around but I only saw Riato, Ayato and Kanato in the room. They weren't scary.

"Help me" Yui squealed for her hiding place behind me. I simply gave her a sweet smile and stepped to the side, before turned to leave the room.

"Wait! please, help me!" She yelled, grabbing my arm. I continue smile and ripped my arm out of her grip.

"I thought you said I was a Demon. Demons don't have sympathy" I said brightly before leaving and shutting the door behind me. I could here Kanato and Riato laughing from inside and I heard Yui scream. Maybe that would teach her not to judge people without looking at all of the facts. Not that doing that would do much for how she saw me.

That night I saw Yui walking about cautiously, clutching something in her hand tightly. I smirked and snuck up on her and grabbed her shoulders shouting "BOOOOOO!!!" She screamed and thrust the knife that was in her hand into my chest. She looked horrified after she realised what she had done.

I took a shaky breath before grabbing the daggers handle in my hands and yanked it out. I collapsed from the pain and blood loss but I was conscious long enough to feel the skin, muscle and arteries stitch themselves back together. The last thing I heard was Yui screaming in horror.

After that everything went black.
