The next night Rosalie woke up drowsy and confused. She was sure that when she fell asleep no one else had been on the bed bar herself and Laito, but now all three triplets were there. Kanato was sleeping and Ayato and Laito were playing a game of cards. It was Ayato who spotted her first, before he nudged Laito to grab his attention.
"Morning Kitten, sleep well?" he chimed. Rosalie nodded, only half understanding what he had said. He knew better than to ask if she was better, because he could tell from how she looked that she was no where near better.
"How come you're so short?" Rosalie glanced to Ayato before she rubbed the sleep from her eyes and propped herself up against the head board.
"I'm not short, I'm just not finished growing," she shot back at him. Her voice was still grainy sounding but it was better than the day before. Ayato smirked at the idea.
"Yours truly thinks you're lying. You are short." Rosalie raised an eyebrow at the redhead before she smiled brightly at him.
"At least I don't look like I was dressed by a toddler," she chimed, as best she could at least. Ayato growled at her and pounced. He pinned her to the wall by her thin neck. Laito watched curiously as his brother held a firm grasp on the brunette.
"Say that again and I will break this pretty little neck of yours," he growled, before an idea struck him. "Or, I could feast upon you," he breathed against her ear. Rosalie didn't look scared like he had anticipated.
"Is that so? Are you a cannibal then?" the two red heads froze at the innocent questions. Did she not know that they were vampires? Or was she just yanking their chains? With a sly smirk, that Ayato almost missed, Rosalie raised her left hand and Ayato flew backwards off the bed, and away from her. "I should warn you though, I don't take kindly to..." her statement was cut short by a fit of coughs. He had almost forgotten that she was ill. The chaos had also woken up Kanato. Ayato stared at the brunette in shock before he stood back up and was back on the large bed.
"Do you not know?" Laito asked. His curiosity had gotten the better of him.
"Not know what?" She replied, stifling a yawn as she did so. Ayato and Laito shared a look before she found herself pinned to the bed, with Laito hovering over her, baring sharp fangs at her. "Oh," she mumbled softly. She had never met a Vampire before. Were they all Vampires? or was it just the Triplets?
"Oh indeed," Ayato snarled. He wanted her blood. And he wanted it now.
Before she could comprehend what was truly going on, Laito bit down on her neck. It stung, the feeling of fangs embedded in her skin was foreign and it hurt, but she had had worse before. She didn't struggle against the fedora wearing man. Once Laito had drank his share, Ayato and Kanato latched on. With each bite the pain got worse, and her head became even more clouded.
Ayato got bored with Rosalie's blood quickly. Yui's was sweeter. Kanato stayed longer but he also agreed that the sweeter of the two was the blond. There was something almost spicy about Rosalie's blood that put him off. That left Laito.
Once his brothers had gone, he had started to feast once again. Her blood was unique. It was addictive. And he wanted more. Much more. Rosalie winced as his fangs dug in and he lapped up as much of the red liquid as he could.
"Laito, stop," she whimpered after his third bite. "It hurts." The red head lifted his head to look at the girl and took in the mess his brothers had made of her. He got to work licking up the blood they had left behind before he took in her pained expression. It wasn't agonising, excruciating pain. It was mild discomfort, but with each bite the pain only increased, until it was so uncomfortable and she was so light headed, that she felt ten times worse than she had the day before. He felt pity for her, so he lay down beside her and let her drift off into sleep.
Her blood was special. He didn't know why, or how, but it just tasted so different from any blood he had ever had the pleasure of tasting, and it had been a very pleasurable experience. She hadn't struggled, she had let him drink his fill, and then let him take even more, and he knew that the worst of the bites were from his brothers. No doubt he could have been able to gorge himself on her if they had not wanted to taste her also. Content and fed Laito drifted off to sleep once again.
Neither were woken up until dinner. Apparently it was a big family dinner and they had no choice but to attend. Rosalie was not looking forward to that. Her head was pounding and she didn't have the energy to move - never mind go to her room, get changed and walk all the way to the dinning room. Laito chuckled at her defiance. She had scrunched up her face at the thought of moving and had then hid under the blankets.
He tried to convince her to move, but eventually he gave in and simply picked her up. First he went to her room to fetch a change of cloths, then he took her to the bathroom and went about bandaging her neck. When she was changed he carried her down to dinner. He could feel her heart rate drop as she almost fell sleep, until they reached the dinning room.
The other brothers had watched him place her in a seat before going to his own, and then Yui spotted the bandages littering the Brunettes neck. Dinner was a mostly quiet affair until Subaru stormed out. Rosalie watched at the others all stood to leave as well, and soon the only ones left were Rosalie and Yui.
Yui seemed upset, but Rosalie just kept eating her food. She needed the energy to get better after all.
"Who was it?" Rosalie looked up at Yui and scrunched her brows in confusion. "Which on of them bit you?" she elaborated. Rosalie hummed in understanding before she glanced to the door. It was closed.
"The triplets," she stated. Yui sighed in understanding. she knew how their bites could be. Yui opened her mouth to apologise to the younger girl on the Vampires behalf, but she was interrupted by the culprits. 'Speak of the devil,' Rosalie thought as the three gathered around Yui to torment her. Rosalie turned a blind eye as they brothers pestered her for her blood. Didn't Yui understand that it was easier to not fight them. Sure the bites hurt, but they would hurt much more if you squirmed or fought back.
Once Rosalie decided that she was done, she stood from her seat, hoping to have the energy to make it so her room. She didn't. After the first unsteady step, her legs gave out and she fell to the floor. Her head started to pound and she felt faint. Yui had heard the bang when Rosalie had hit the ground and had rushed to the Brunettes side. Her hand was still clutching the table but the other held her head as her face contorted in pain. The triplets watched the two women interact. It was interesting.
"What happened?" Yui had asked in a panic. Rosalie had sighed and pulled her self to her feet, ignoring the blond as be she could.
"I'm fine. Just a little dizzy spell, that's all." No one in the room was convinced by the lie.
"You're in pain, that's not a dizzy spell!" Yui argued, trying to help support the younger girl. Her hand was slapped away.
"I said I'm fine, and you are going to leave me alone," Rosalie said calmly, looking Yui in the eyes the entire time. Yui blinked and then looked around confused before walking away. The triplets watched in shock as Rosalie took a deep breath and then vanished with a cracking sound.
The triplets shared a look of confusion and shocked before looking back to the empty space where the brunette had been only moments before.
"What the fuck did we just witness?"
