It turned out that Rosalie was a very good hider. Laito and Ayato spent hours trying to find her before giving up for the night. They retreated to their rooms before Kanato told them where she was.
"She's asleep in Subaru's room."
The three had rushed to retrieve her and found her sleeping in a corner. Even Subaru was just standing there looking at her.
"Why is she here?" Subaru didn't know how she had even gotten into his room, never mind why she was sleeping there. Laito juts scooped her up and carried her into her old room, wonderding the whole way there, just how tired she had been. He had never actually seen her so soundly asleep before. He even managed to changer her into sleep wear (that they had stollen from Yui's room) and tuck her in without her even stirring. It was odd.
She was still asleep when they checked in her the next night.
"Is she sick again?" Kanato asked curiously. Ayato shrugged and poked her shoulder to see if she would wake up. She stirred a little, but she didn't wake.
"I blame the half-breed," Laito said. He didn't like the four mukami's before they took Rosalie from him, now he liked them even less. They had done something to Rosalie while they had her. She had never really been a deep sleeper. She woke up if anyone touched her. Now she wasn't even doing that.
The three decided to leave her until lunch.
They didn't have to retrieve her for the meal either. She wondered in, still half asleep, as food was being put on the table and sat down. She still looked exhausted. Laito was sure that that wasn't normal human behaviour.
"Morning," she mumbled, as Ayato piled her plate with food. Rosalie didn't remember getting to her room, or changing the night before. She vaguely remembered hiding in a room that had a coffin in it. She didn't know who had decided that a coffin was a good bed, but it was playing into the stereotype. Odd but not the oddest thing she had ever seen.
"Afternoon, kitten," Laito chimed back. Rosalie didn't seem to care that it was so late. "Sleep well?"
Rosalie nodded silently and picked at her food. She wasn't really hungry. That had been the best sleep she had had since she was forced out of Sakamaki household. It helped the she didn't have an irritating blond stealing her bed. It was nice to get a full nights sleep, instead of infrequent naps on a couch. She had missed her bed.
"So, no swimming lessons?"
"Yes swimming lessons. I got to do them then so do you." Rosalie glared that the petulant red head. At least his clothes were on properly. She would get him back on Monday. She wondered how he could feel about his uniform sitting straight and not letting him fix it? It seemed a decent punishment.
"That's not fair. Witches aren't meant to swim. This is discrimination," Rosalie huffed childishly. Witches didn't swim. Swimming was a punishment! This was unfair. This was outrageous. This was down right mean.
"Good, we start in two hours," Laito shot back with a cheery smile, before disappearing to do something that didn't intrigue Rosalie enough for her to care. she picked at the rest of her food and fumed. She didn't want to swim! she didn't even have a swimming suit...
"Ha!" she yelled triumphantly. "I cant go swimming. Sorry not sorry. bye now!" and then she was gone. This was perfect. she could stroll the gardens, play darts in the game room, and play music in the music room without Ayato, Yui or Laito bothering her. It was perfect. It was joyous. It was... apparently not happening.
