The vampires watched the Brunette as she contemplated whether she wanted the triplets to let rip into her brother, or if she wanted to do it herself. She wasn't entirely sure what she wanted to do. She had never thought about running into him before. She knew she was going to have her mother persecuted when she claimed her birth right, but she hadn't much thought of her younger twin. Finally, she thought of the best plan in the world. A plan so brilliant that it would lull her idiot brother and mother into a sense of security that she would wipe away at the flick of a wrist. But not yet.
"Let him run home. It would be a waste of time tearing him to pieces." Laito frowned at the dismissal of the brunet. Laito wanted to tear him limb from limb and then burn him alive, but he trusted Rosalie to know what she was doing. She was a smart enough girl. She should known how to take care of herself. Ayato released regulus, but he was stopped before he could leave by the other red head of the family.
"Come near her again and I'll kill you. Even if she wants that honour for herself. You'll be a dead man," he growled, before releasing the sixteen year old. Regulus glared at the vampire, before he ran to his family car. He didn't look back at his insolent sister or her insufferable guard dogs. He would have to inform his mother of those pesky men that his useless sister had enchanted to do her bidding. The Vampires and humans watched him go, before Rosalie started to walk towards the Sakamaki's car.
The Vampires and Yui watched her walk away from them. what happened to the docile girl who was sassy and cheeky. That was pure hatred they had seem. And what did they mean birthright.
The car ride back to the Sakamaki house hold was thick with tension. Ayato, Kanato and Laito were silently fuming that they hadn't been allowed to murder the younger brunet, but Rosalie wasn't stupid. They knew that much. She was smart enough to understand danger and she was smart enough to handle her brother. They hoped.Rosalie didn't say a word the whole ride. She was busy planning. She needed to figure out how to get her mother out of power before she turned 18. Once she reached 18 it was all hers. But that was two years away and she didn't have that time anymore. Her plans had to change and fast.
Her brother knew which school she went to. He has seen the faces of the Sakamaki and Mukami's. If her mother saw their faces she'd know who they were. She needed something to give and soon.
When the car stopped they all filed out and Reiji demanded that everyone go into the lounge room for a talk. Rosalie didn't feel like talking to them though. She needed time to think, not to waste it on answering unneeded questions.
"Who was that insufferable boy?" She didn't feel like answering him. They waited until they realised that she was lost in her own head somewhere. It couldn't be anywhere good. So, to save her the annoyance of stopped her train of thought Laito decided to step in.
"That was her younger brother," he told them all with a look of boredom set across his face. The others seemed shocked at the simple idea that one of their sacrificial brides had living family. Even if that family didn't seem all to pleased to see her alive. Usually the brides were orphans that no one would miss if they vanished. Usually they didn't have inheritances either. How strange. But it made them wonder if Shuu had know about it.
Before they could compose themselves Rosalie finished her planning and decided that this conversation wouldn't do anything to help her achieve what she wanted.
"It doesn't matter. He's a pawn who I'll deal with. It doesn't involve you."
The room was silent as she spoke. It was different from her usual playful, or quiet demeanour. It was commanding and strong. It was similar to how their mothers used to talk to each other. It promised danger and it reminded them that not all women were weak and submissive.
"You live under our roof. It involves us. Make no mistake that you belong to us," Reiji told her sternly. But she wasn't backing down.
"I may live here, and I may belong to you and your brothers, but I am not incapable of defending myself and vanishing without a trace if I so wish. Don't presume to hold dominion over someone who you underestimate, Reiji," she snarked back. There was a fire in her eyes as she spoke and the triplets did not doubt her words. They had seen her magic, ayato had felt it throw him across a room with little effort, they had seen her vanish into thin air without a trace before. But the others hasn't. But Shuu had warned them that she wasn't helpless or harmless if she wanted to be.
"Is that a threat?" The raven haired vampire ground out. He didn't like this new bold streak she was showing.
"No, you would know if I was threatening you. If I was you wouldn't be so calm about to. I'm simply informing you that I am here because I see no reason to leave. Give me one and not only will I leave but you will have made a very dangerous enemy." She didn't break eye contact with the older vampire until she was finished speaking. Something in the corner of the room had caught her attention. There was a tall man standing there, with long white hair and peircing gold eyes. She recognised him from somewhere, but she couldn't put her finger on where.
"Wise words from such a young witch." His voice was smooth and sweet. He put Rosalie on edge. He was powerful and he was brimming with magical potential that she had never seen before. It was frightening and mesmerising. The brothers didn't know how to react to the appearance of their father. "I would think that Richard would be proud of you," he added once he had everyone's attention. None of them knew who Richard was, but the name struck a cord with Rosalie.
How did this man know her dead father.
