He Just Had to Show Up Now, Didn't He

After the night that Rosalie told the Triplets her backstory, they hadn't been as harsh or pushy with their demands. They would feed from her every once and a while, Laito feeding on her most, but other than that they didn't treat her like they treated Yui. Rosalie was no longer some meal that they could throw away. She was a kindred spirit who would be just as happy to see the end of her mother as the triplets had been about the end of theirs. The other brothers and Yui had no clue about Rosalie's past or family, and they didn't question why the triplets were the only ones allowed to take care of her while she was ill. Her health improved greatly in the week she was away from school, so when she was finally able to return she was ecstatic to finally be out of the manor.

"Finally free," she had yelled once she stepped foot outside of the house on her first day back. The Triplets had thought that the theatrics were a very nice touch, the others thought it was childish.

"Act your age," Yui had scolded. Rosalie had only stuck her tongue out at the girl as she got into the car and took her seat.

"I'm a teen who's been locked inside of a week. let me have my fun, Blondie," She had shot back. Shu had raised an eyebrow at the brunette but he quickly went back to his music. The others crowed in and then they were on their way to school. Rosalie had been sat between Laito and Kanato for the ride and had watched in amusement as Ayato tormented Yui.

When they arrived at the school Rosalie had gotten out of the car behind the purple haired vampire, smiling and laughing at something Laito had said, until her eyes landed on the steps leading to the school. Her laughter came to an abrupt stop, the smile melted from her face, and it was replaced by a look of fear and panic. The others noticed the odd behaviour and followed the direction she was focusing on. On the steps was a tall brown haired man. He wore the school uniform and a dashing smile, but his Cyan blue eyes held nothing but contempt.

Rosalie had snapped out of her daze quicker than they had anticipated and grabbed Laito's hand in an iron grip.

"Come on, we're going to be late," she muttered before she dragged him up the stairs, keeping the vampire between the mysterious man and herself the entire time. The others only watched as the man had turned to watch the pair enter the building, before following after them. Kanato and Ayato glared at the stranger before they headed for their own class with Yui trailing behind them. The remaining brothers had no clue what was wrong with the triplets or Rosalie, and they had no clue who the man on the steps was, but it did not bode well with any of them.

In class Rosalie had stayed near Laito, trying to avoid her little brother as long as she possibly could. Laito was happy to help her do just that and had even managed to convince the boy who sat in front of him to switch seats with Rosalie so she wouldn't have to sit across the class room from him, and closer to the new brunet.

The teacher didn't seem to mind the switch, it wasn't uncommon for people to switch seats to sit with friends, although she hadn't ever seen a girl willingly move closer to Laito Sakamaki before. Usually he moved to sit by whichever girl he had taken a fancy to that week. It was odd but perhaps not as odd as her new student. He had arrived three days ago and since then it was as if he was waiting for something to happen. He had been wound up so tight that she was surprised he hadn't snapped at anyone yet. But he seemed calmer today, the smug look he wore made him look like that cat who caught the canary.

As they day went on, Rosalie stuck to Laito's side, and when they had separate classes she stuck firmly with Breeze and Quince. She didn't trust the way her brother looked at her. She hadn't laid eyes on her brother for a decade, but she still hadn't forgotten how he tried to kill her. Her friends didn't know about her brother. Nor did they know her full name. Not even the triplets knew how long her name was. It was pain to say, and an even bigger pain to write over and over again, so she didn't use it.

At lunch Rosalie sat with the triplets, keeping a close eye on where her little brother was. His presence made her paranoid. She lived with Vampires, she was a witch who was very much capable of taking care of herself, but her brother was dangerous to her. He had magic, he had been schooled in it for far longer than she had. She was mostly self taught, learning and copying things that she saw in movies or read about in books. After all at the bare bones, magic was only a power to want something. If your want was strong enough you could make it happen, and the more you did it the easier it was. Ayato and Kanato had noticed the strange behaviour and had decided that the brunet was not to be trusted around Rosalie or Yui.

By the end of the day the other brothers and Yui were so frustrated with the oddness of the day that they all agreed to corner and interrogate the four before they reached the manor. the Triplets had arrived at the same time to the car, but Rosalie had been in a separate class from them. As she walked out of the door with Breeze she felt a firm grip on her arm, pulling her from the crowed. She tried to pull away from the person but all too easily she was dragged to the side and pressed up against the wall.

"Hello sister dear," Her brother purred. His eyes gleamed with unconcealed malice, and Rosalie used all of her will power to cover her fear.

"Brother," she spat in return. The brunet grinned at the distain she held for him, but all too soon he was pulled away from her, by Shuu. The blond vampire held him away from Rosalie as the other brothers and the Mukami brothers gathered around to see what the blond was doing. The triplets looked murderous when they spotted their witches psychotic brother in their own brothers grasp.

"Oh, come now Rosy. Call off your little guard dogs and lets talk," The younger witch sneered. Rosalie sneered back and straightened herself up.

"Listen here, Reggie, and listen good," she hissed. "You will stay away from me and my friends, you will come nowhere near where I stay, and you will keep mother away from me and mine. Do I make myself clear?" The vampires and Yui watched as the other Brunet struggled in Shuu's grasp, before giving up on getting loose, choosing instead to spit on his older sister.

"And why should I listen to the little bitch that got my father killed," Reggie sneered in return. Rosalie felt a growl rise up in her throat, but she held it back as she whipped the spit from her cheek. She really didn't want to tell the vampires what she needed to say for her dear brother to get the message and disappear.

"And how did the little Kitty cat get your dear daddy killed?" Drawled Kou. He had watched Rosalie since she arrived at the school. She was as harmless as a butterfly. She was hardly able to kill a spider, never mind a person. Reggie glared at the blond, but Rosalie didn't let him speak.

"His Mother killed his father. It isn't my fault the woman is a psychotic bitch. But I guess you inherited that from her too, didn't you Regulus."

Yui and Kou were taken aback by the aggressive nature they were seeing. Rosalie looked vicious. The triplets wanted to gut the so called Regulus, but they knew that Rosalie wouldn't let them. Not yet at least.

"Oh, and you didn't? It was your fault father died. you could have easily given me my birthright and this could all have been avoided," Regulus scoffed. Rosalie's gaze hardened at the mention of her birth right. She was the eldest, her father had chosen her as his heir, she was the one born to inherit the family, not him. She had the strength to be born first, he didn't. It was her birthright and she wasn't going to give it to her mothers puppet.

"You mean my birthright," she quipped pompously. She didn't care if the brother found out about her inheritance, it wasn't like they were a lesser well off family than hers was after all. "After all, I was born first." The smirk on Rosalie's face infuriated Regulus, and in his anger he managed to break Shuu's hold on him long enough for the Triplets to view him as a threat.

Ayato had him by the neck, held off the ground, with Kanato and Laito waiting for the go ahead to gut the bastard. all they needed was the go ahead from Rosalie and the other brunet would be no more.

"Can we kill him now?" Kanato asked with wide pleading eyes. Rosalie looked at the three and debated whether she wanted the blood on their hands or hers.

It was a rather tough decision to make.
