~Jack's POV~

"A scream, from a way to familiar voice."

I started to run in the direction where I heard the scream. But after I passed a few streets and corners, I slowed down. I looked around and realised that I had no idea where to go next. "Please call out again. Please call out again." I mumbled, but noone did. I started walking again until I heard soft crying. It came from an aleyway. I looked around the corner carefully, trying not to get caught.

I saw a boy on the ground with his knees to his chest. I immediatly recognized his red hair, it was Mark. A boy with a hoodie was standing in front of him. I couldn't see his face because he had his hood up. He was walking around a little but got in Mark's face again.

"If you had listened to the commands, you woulnd't be in so much trouble right now."

"You had one job!"

The boy slapped Mark accros the face.

"This is bigger then you think. So why did you even think you would get away with this?!"

"We found no body, dumbass! And ofcourse our resources tell us everything. For example how you brought him home! You're dangerous Mark, so fucking deal with it!"

Mark got slapped in the face again. But he didn't do anything about it. He just stared at the ground with his knees to his chest, like a dog who thinks he did something wrong.

My anger was rising already and the fact that the guy kept slapping Mark didn't really help. But I had to control myself. I couldn't walk in there. But the guy kept saying bad things and at one point he crossed the line.

"You're just doing this for attetion. You don't even like Jack and he will never love you!"

I knew that I had everything to do with what was going on, but that was about me. About my private thoughts and emotions and I just couldn't stand it. I walked out from behind the wall and ran trough the alley.

"Hey!" I screamed before I punched the guy in the face. He stumbled backwards and I saw that he had a bloody nose. The bad lightning still wouldn't allow me to see who he was.

"Whatever," He said while standing up straight again. "You two are going to be dead in a week anyway." He turned and started to walk away, but stopped quickly.

"Oh, and Jack? You know dreams have a meaning, right?" He chuckled before he ran away.

I stared at him for a moment. "What do you mean?" I screamed, but I got no answer. The guy was gone.

I stood there for a few moments before I turned to Mark. "Mark, are you Ok?" I asked while I kneeled down in front of him. "Jack, why are you here? I told you to be careful." Mark answered, still looking at the ground. "I came to get groceries and I was being very careful, don't you worry about that. But what happened to you? Who was that guy? Are you injured? Do you need to go to a hospital?.."

I kept asking questions until Mark looked up, took my chin in his fingers and kissed me to shut me up. He kissed me for a couple of seconds before he pulled away. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." He tried to stand up, but fell down again while clenching his stomach. I helped him up carefully and scanned him for any injuries. He had a black eye and a bloody nose, but those were the only things I could see. I had a feeling that he was more beaten up then he would show me.

We arrived at the apartment and I was relieved that it was still locked. I brought Mark to the couch and closed the door. I went to the bathroom to get the aid-kit for Mark's bloody nose and the wounds he got from getting pushed against the wall. He also told me that he had pain in his stomach from getting punched there, but an aid-kit wasn't going to help that.

I searched for the aid-kit for a few minutes because it was still messy in the bathroom. I found it and went to grab it before I tensed up at what Mark yelled.

"Jack, did you leave the television on?"

I grabbed the kit and walked downstairs quickly. "What do you mean?" i asked him. He pointed at the television, which was on. "It was on already. Did you forget to shut it off?" He asked curious. I shook my head in shock. "I haven't watched any television today." Mark started to sit up and I could tell he had less pain already. "Jack, you better don't be messing with me." I shook my head again.

"Someone's here.." I mumbled while I walked towards Mark and he towards me.

"Yes, I am here. Did you miss me?"
