~Jack's POV~

I woke up, sweating. I thought back to the nightmare that I just had.

I recall being in the alleyway where Mark got beaten up. Standing in front of the mysterious person. Mark being dead instead of just beaten up. Hearing sentences like;

"You'll never get Mark back"

"You're pathetic, even thinking that you can beat us."

"We'll meet again soon, Sean."

I got back to reality. That last sentence sent shivers down my spine. When? Who? Where? I didn't know.

I got out of bed and changed into normal clothes. I went downstairs to get some breakfast, but realised soon that I still hadn't gotten anything to eat. I went to get it yesterday, but then Mark got beaten up. That means; still no food here.

I got my keys and put on my shoes. I got outside pretty quickly and locked the door behind me. It was tuesday and everybody was at school or at work. That means that I had a low chance of getting seen. I walked to the store.

When I was almost at the shop I hear someone yell my name. "Jack!" I froze, it sounded so familiar. I heard footsteps running towards me and soon enough I was being hugged. "Jack! My god! I was worried sick about you! Didn't you get my thousands of calls or texts? Where have you been? Is everything alright?" He rambled. "Don't worry Felix, I'm alright." I said as I hugged my best friend back. But him being my best friend was not the only reason why his voice sounded so familiar.

"Where have you been?" He asked as he let go of me. "I can't really tell you now. But I'll tell you eventually." He nodded and hugged me again. "I'm so glad that you're Ok." He said. "Thanks." I said with a small smile. "What are you doing here?" He asked. "Well, I went to get some food from the store." "Want some help?" "Sure."

~Time Skip~

We walked back to my apartment with the bags. We were almost next to the huge building when I realised something. "Why are you not at school, Felix?" He froze at my sudden question. He slowly turned towards me and I could actually see his face for the first time today.

His nose looked weird, almost broken. That's when he spoke up. "Well, my nose is broken. I got into a fight, and it broke my nose. Anyway, I have major headaches because of it, so I can't go to school. I have to rest." I was still looking at his face, when I noticed something really familiar. He turned his head in a different way and that's when I saw it.

The shadow of the buildings made his face 'disappear'. Just like what happened to the mysterious guy in that alleyway. Now that I was thinking about it, I realised that Felix looked exactly like the guy. He's even wearing the same hoodie! "I-it's you.." I mumbled with wide eyes.

He looked me in the eyes. "What am I?" He asked with an evil grin. "Y-you're that guy in the alleyway. The guy that beat up Mark. The guy who I punched in the face. It was you!" He chuckled. "And maybe the voice in your dreams? Or should I call them nightmares, Jack?" I gasped. Now that I know it, I realised that he was indeed the voice in my dreams.

"But how? And why?" He grinned again. "Oh Jack, don't you get it by now? Do I really have to tell you that I'm in one of the highest ranks in this organisation that you're playing with? And I have some tricks up my sleeve, especially when it comes to dreams." I gasped. "How could you? I've trusted you for many years!" "And I've played with you for many years, Jack." I sighed as he chuckled. I needed to ask my questions smart, or this could go very wrong. I needed as much information as I could get.

"But why did you beat up Mark?" I asked. If he answered just right, I could figure out if I should trust Mark or not. "Well, Mark didn't do his job right. He fell in love instead. Urgh, disgusting. But because he didn't kill you, I had to teach him a lesson." He sighed. "It's his third assignment and he's already turning on us. It looks like your lover won't be alive for much longer."

"Wait, are you sure that I'm just his third assignment?" I questioned. If so, then he told the truth. "Yeah, he didn't like them. The bitch would always cry afterwards. It made me sick. Anyway, that's why we didn't trust him with you. I had my men follow you two and it turns out I was right. He wasn't going to kill you."

I was deep in thoughts. Mark told the truth after all. How could I've been so stupid to believe Cry? "Fuck.." I mumbled. "What's up? Are you realising that Cry lied to you? I told him to and man, he came up with a good lie. That's why I like that dude." He smiled a little. "And I saw you and Mark fight. Amazing! But to be honest, I didn't think that you would believe Cry that easy. I guess I was wrong. You wouldn't be here otherwise.

Or at least not alone."
