"Sandra!" Called someone behind me as I was walking home. I turned my head. And it was nothing. Well... it WAS something, but it was nothing. It didn't matter.
Anyway. I was being my normal insane self, when I bumped into this boy. "I'm so sorry!" He yelled. Oh no. I know how this goes in movies. The boy & girl fall madly in love. Well not this time. I was about to run away without looking at him, but then I noticed. His eyes were brown. He had extreme power, I see. Like Azalya. But I could tell he was right handed. So he didn't have weakness. His power was driving me crazy. I couldn't stand it. I was still standing there, saying nothing.
"I'm Dylan." He told me. I didn't care. "I'm..." "Sanda?" He asked warmly. "Um, yeah, I don't know how you know that....Wait, it's your eyes, isn't it?" I asked, sounding like a madwoman. He laughed warmly. "No. I've seen you on TV. You're Azalya's friend, right? I saw you dragging her into that one interview when she refused to go...She seems like a really awesome girl...And her eyes are just amazing." He winked at me. Oh no.
"Um, yeah, that's me...And yep. Brown eyes rock. Gotta go." I started to storm away, but he pulled me back. "You're brown eyed too, you know that right? Nice cover up. Wish I had one. Do you also have a cover up for being left handed? I know you're weak. I can sense it. But I don't look down upon you just because of that. You're awesome."
Awesome? How exactly was I "awesome?" He knew all of my secrets. I began to cry.
"Oh, um, do you think maybe you should get Azalya to drink the tears now? I'm becoming sad too..." He said. I nodded, about to storm off. But then I realized, he wasn't sad.
Because he didn't have depression either.
Later that day, Azalya came to my house, chanting, "Sandra has a boyfriend!"My eyes widened. "Dylan is NOT my boyfriend, but...How did you know about him? Wait. It's Your eyes. This time I know that for a fact."
She cracked up, and said, "Oh yes! I TOTALLY know about him because of my eyes! Because I have EXTREME power....But also weakness because I'm left-handed! What a horrible life I'll have!" She then fake-cried. "I know." I whispered, but as she began to glare at me, I quickly changed the subject. "You do realize brown eyed people CAN see into the future, right Azalya?" She laughed again. "No, I didn't know that. No one knew that. Because it's not true."
"It is true...You just have to try hard enough. I've done it lots of times. I don't know how you can't see the brown in my eyes. Just like you can't explain rain. Well, you could. But if you did explain it, your definition would be, 'Water falling from the sky.' And that's the farthest thing from correct I've ever heard. Well, next to-"
"SANDRA! Hey!" Yelled a voice. It was Dylan, of course it is. After hearing a few "Ooooh"s from Azalya, I walked up to him. "Hey, Sandra. I have to do a project in school where I try and get as many signatures as possible. Will you sign?" He held the pen out to me. I awkwardly wrote with my right hand. My name looked like, 'Somdya.' He looked confused at my horrible writing at first, but then he remembered. "Sandra, I'm really not going to judge you." He whispered, but then I said, "Yeah, but that doesn't really matter when the rest of society IS going to judge me, now does it?" "Sandra, your writing's getting worse!" Azalya cried, who was now looking at my signature. "I think you should try writing with your left hand. It helps me. And don't worry, I'm not going to topple over or anything. I'm not that weak." She then left.
But if she only knew.
