I had been hanging out with Dylan more & more lately. He understood me more than anyone else, Including Azalya. One day, it was extremely sunny outside, & I mumbled, "I wish it would just rain!" "Hmm?" Dylan asked me nicely. "Rain. I wish it would rain. It never rains in Solvang." "True, because you never make it." He told me wisely. He then whispered, "Make it rain, Sandra." I looked at him with wide "blue" eyes. "How do I do that?" He smiled. "It's simple. You're brown eyed, aren't you? Sure, it will be harder because of your left hand, but you can make it work." Wow. I was willing to try it.

I looked at the sky. I felt it smiling down at me, which I didn't like. I breathed in & out. Over & over. I began to feel light-headed. The sun was still shining bright. Dylan smiled yet again.

I breathed in harder, and sucked out air. I could dimly feel the sun being sucked away, robbed of life. The life was flowing to me instead. "Getting darker." Dylan prompted me.

I closed my eyes, and focused on power. True and complete, POWER. Nothing else. Everything was silent for a moment. My eyes remained closed, then, when I felt the power bolting throughout me, I looked wide-eyed at Dylan.

"SANDRA!" He shouted. "Your eyes...They're brown!!"

He held up a mirror. My power had shown. I felt rain pour down, as I smiled.

My happiness was short lived, though.

Azalya.

I sadly let the power flow right out of me again, as my eyes returned back to blue. It was painful to do this, but I knew I had to.

The rain stopped, then, too.

I looked at Dylan, and he asked me, "Why did you do that? I thought you wanted rain."

I sighed.

"I want rain more than anything. But surely you've heard about the people who drink cough syrup when they don't even have a cough. It's ironic, because in reality, they're far sicker than anyone thought."

Should I be surprised he looked away without saying a word?

"I should be hanging out with Azalya more anyway, I guess." I told him. "She understands me, but yet she does it in a way that shows less understanding than anyone."

"Sandra, stop being so insane." Azalya told me, as she walked up. She touched my shoulder with her left hand. My death glare stopped that right away.

"That's the worst part of all." I admitted.

"I'm sane enough, to know that I'm insane."

-The cough syrup thing is a quote from a book "Cherry Cough Drops." On here. <3
