Allie Pennington also 16 years old lives her life in another dimension in the mortal world with her parents. Her parents are professors of medieval literature for local universities around the country. She has recently moved to a small town and she is about to begin her junior year at a new high school called Avalon High. Allie never had a care in the world about where she came from because she has never had any clue that her parents had adopted her. Her real parents live in Camelot. Allie now has to start over at a new school and live her life as the new girl once again.
Living her life surrounded by medieval literature has made Allie believe that she is drawn to the culture. She sees knights in shining armor within her dreams that seem to be making place during medieval times. All goes well until her first day of school because her visions of medieval times grow stronger towards the students and faculty of her new school. She sees the Knights sitting at the round table, sitting in a cafeteria, she feels the presence of dangerous men with armor fighting for the kingdom football players in their uniform.
