Secrets of Camelot

chapter 5

Marissa and Allie snuck around the castle giving both a quick tour and attempting to find Merlin. Marissa needed to tell her father that she has been studying sorcery for a while now. She also wanted Merlin's help in the mortal world to continue teaching them magic. Allie was just in the background of everything because she wasn't able to speak her mind. She was taken by all of the beautiful medieval items that were everywhere throughout the castle. Allie couldn't believe that the life she was supposed to live consisted of castles, Knights, and living as a princess. All of the servants and Knights that stood in the hallways were completely terrifying but Marissa continued to drag her until she found Arthur sitting in his study.

"Father I need to speak with you before we leave"

"Marissa I honestly don't have the time is it really that urgent"

"yes father it is. It involves my sister and I's well being while we are away from the kingdom" Marissa said removing her sorcerers wand from her pocket and laying a book of spells on her fathers table. "for a while now I've been studying magic behind your back. I want your blessing to allow both Allie and I to practice and study magic in her dimension"

"you disobeyed my direct order that was meant to keep our kingdom safe"

"father you took away everyone's magic. You took away all of what some of these people ever had"

"I made a decision that was meant to keep everyone safe. I sacrificed my own magic for the good of this kingdom"

              Allie nudged Marissa's shoulder motioning for her to leave the room before something bad was to happen. Marissa followed the motion of her sister they exited the study. Arthur stood there pacing on the back side of his desk and slammed his shield onto the desk breaking it in half. He watched his daughters flee the castle from a window and just stood there in silence.
                    Guinevere led Marissa, Allie, and Merlin to a secret chamber that consisted of the most powerful magic that Arthur was able to hide away for sixteen years. Merlin stood their and created a spell that would send the three of them back into the mortal world. Arthur had no business sending his daughters away but he knew it would be the only way to keep them safe from what was coming their way.

"mother this is for you. It's a special mirror that allows communication between the dimensions"

Guinevere hugged Marissa "thank you darling. I'll make sure to speak with you as much as I can" she then gave Allie a hug also. "Allie I hope to see you again very soon. We have a lot of catching up to do"

"yes we do and I would love to get to know you better Guinevere" Allie said hugging her mother

"I promise our family will be together again. once the war is over and your father is able to act as a father again"

"it just takes time" Merlin said creating a potion

"time is the one thing this family seems to lack most of all" Marissa said sarcastically

"Marissa please" Guinevere begged "You must understand that all of this is not our intention. we don't want you to have to live this way"

"and yet here we are sixteen years later and being sent away. For my sister it's her second time being sent away"

"Marissa it's okay" Allie said

"Allie it's alright dear just please be careful; both of you"

Merlin, being the most powerful sorcerer, is the only person in Camelot who is able to conduct a portal between the world large enough to take all three of them through and to keep them there. He used his magic wisely as Marissa and Allie stood there and watched. Guinevere was standing back in tears over the loss of her daughter for the second time. Nothing was more important to her than her family. Guinevere had to now make herself into more of a prominent role of the kingdom.
