Secrets of Camelot

Chapter 1

*in the mortal world*

Allie awakes on her bedroom floor rather than in her bed. She lifts herself up and without thinking about it she goes downstairs. Her parents have been up for hours unpacking the large van filled with novels and textbooks all containing content of Arthurian literature. "You know I think this family is so obsessed with King Arthur that I'm beginning to dream about Camelot"

"Allie don't be silly all teenage girls dream of Knights in shining armor" her mother assured her

"But mom most girls dream of a beautiful dark haired prince. While I dream about muddy battles on beaches that are on horseback"

"Well then maybe it's just a sign your meant to be our daughter" her father said kissing Allie's forehead handing her a cup of coffee. Rather than helping she takes the coffee back up to her room.

She intends to read her new schools rules and regulation before her first day of school the next morning. Allie has been the 'new girl' in schools a bunch of times due to her parents traveling occupations. She quickly skims through the pamphlet and just disregards everything she had just read. Her mother then came into her room to give her what seemed to be a quick pep talk before she would be starting school once again the next morning. Allie never had anyone that she could talk to about her problems so she would just shut her parents out of her life. Her bedroom was her safe ground and no one was able to take that away from her. In the small bay window that sat along her wall was where she made her spot. She sat there on previous nights all night long just staring down at the streets watching the people of her new town walk past. She has lived in this town for about 5 days, yet Allie had yet to leave the house to make any new friends.

*the next morning*

"Goodbye mom goodbye dad" Allie said rushing out the door not even giving her parents a moment to answer

The moment she got to her new school she immediately stared at the architecture from the outside. It was strange but Allie had thought to herself "I've seen this place before". However little did she know that she was talking to herself out loud and she was able to notice a young nerdy looking boy staring at her from a far. "I'm not crazy" Allie said rolling her eyes at the boy and walking into the building. Allie searches through her messy bag filled with makeup, old wrappers and receipts, and loads of coins weighing down the bag to try and find which locker was hers. She finally finds her class schedule and locker assignment. As she is putting things into her locker she looks over and sees four guys wearing letterman jackets walking in her directions. But all of a sudden her eyes readjust themselves and she is able to see the same four guys however they were dressed as Knights holding their swords and approaching a battlefield.

Just when suddenly the nerdy boy approaches Allie and says "I don't think your crazy"

"Oh thank you" she said filling her locker. "I'm Allie"

"I'm Miles" the boy said

"Nice to meet you, I'm gonna go to class now but I'll see you around"

"What's your first class?" Miles asked

"European History in room 101" Allie said looking at her schedule

"I have that class also you can come with me"

Allie and Miles walked to their class together and she wondered if she had actual begun to make a real friend at this new school. She stopped at the front of the room to talk to the teacher introducing herself due to the fact that it was already a month into the school year. The teacher had introduced himself and have Allie a large European history textbook and gave her directions towards an empty seat in the classroom. When Allie looked down at the textbook she had begun to laugh to herself out loud allowing for her teacher, Mr. Moore to hear her.
