Chapter 10 Luke: Boys Talk

Luke's POV

Half an hour later Aria and Olivia ran with their surfboards into the sea. Well, Aria stumbled a little but i couldn't get the idea of surfing out of her head. I lay next to Ashton on my towel in the sand. Michael and Calum flopped on my other side next to me on their towels. I was still staring at Aria who was waiting for a good wave to catch. ''You looooooove her.'' said Calum teasingly. I glanced at Calum and raised my eyebrow. ''You knew that already? Clever boy.'' I said sarcasticly. Calum smiled and glanced at the sea. ''I just think it's cute how you look at her in a way i haven't seen before.'' He said after a while. ''She likes you too buddy.'' Ashton giggled. I turned suprised to Ashton. ''How would you know?'' I asked while Ashton smiled wider. He took off his sunglasses and looked at me while he shook his head. ''Oh Lukey, Lukey, sweet, innocent, little Lukey.'' He began. Me raising my eyebrow again. ''Are you just blind or don't you understand anything about women?'' He paused for a second before he continued. ''Did you not saw the look on her face when you took off your shirt? How red she was when you put sun cream on her back? And how she stared at you when you stared at her? Come on Luke, it's so clear.''

''She only looked at me because I was looking like a dumb weirdo.'' I laughed. "And if you're right, why do I still have the feeling that there's something wrong" I asked myself aloud. "Don't worry, it's gonna be okay." Calum said. I turned my face back to the sea, back to Aria. She was surfing on a big wave and, to be honest, she was damn good. ''They are good aren't they?'' Ashton asked while looking at Aria and Olivia. I nodded and smiled while looking at her. Aria was clearly better than Olivia, who find it harder to surf on this wave than Aria but they were both great surfers. Aria's wet hair glistened in the sunlight. ''Just give her some time. I mean, she just moved away from her friends and family in the Netherlands and she probably misses them a lot.'' Michael interrupted my thoughts. ''Yes  know... but I just have this feeling that i've known her for a long time. I feel... at home when i'm with her... if that makes sense... Even though I know her for just a little while.'' I sighed.

''And if she's ''clearly'' into me, like you say'' I said, quoting ''clearly''. ''Why is there nothing happened then? One moment i think that she likes me back the way I like her...''

''Love, man. You love her and she loves you back.'' Calum corrected me. ''Okay, love... But the other moment I feel like I hurt or scare her or something...'' I continued. A long silence followed. After a couple minutes Ashton broke the silence. ''Maybe you should ask you mom for some more women logic.'' he teased en we all started laughing.

So that was chapter 10. Please let me know in the comments what you think about it because i haven't had any feedback on this (translated) story yet. I'm sorry that it's a short chapter but even in Dutch it's a short chapter but i hope you liked it anyway. And i saw that the next chapter is going to be short as well and i'm sorry for that. I'm really doing my best to update more often but this week is going to be really busy. 6 tests, 2 books to read and i barely started. :( I'm sorry but i try to update as soon as possible, i promise.
