It's a little later than I said it would be and I'm so sorry guys!
Thank you all so, so much for going back and voting on the chapters you had missed. I noticed everyone who did it and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you; especially after we got to #178 on the What's Hot list because of it! That was really amazing!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy. This chapter is a bit of a cute one and while it may seem like a filler, it's pretty important.
Gif is of Ashley Benson (Juliet Porter).
Don't forget to leave a little vote and a comment!

"How could you not mention something like this to us?" Cynthia snapped at Damien, shaking her head with annoyance as she leant against the wall near us, her brown eyes focused on our game.
I turned my attention back to the chess pieces on the table, grinning when I flicked one across the board and successfully stole a black knight.
Almost like he'd anticipated that very move, Damien reached out with his slender fingers and slid his queen across the board, knocking over my own.
"Checkmate," he declared, flashing me a smirk when I huffed and folded my arms across my chest, sulkily sinking into my chair. "I told you, Cyn; I didn't want her in more danger than she already is," he repeated what he'd said minutes ago, already setting up the chess board for a new game.
"We could've helped more if we knew what we were protecting her from and why they were after her," Cynthius seriously stated, resting his elbows on the table from his place beside me. "Her...power is special and needs to be guarded," Cynthius murmured and I glanced up at Damien to see he'd stiffened, his blue eyes glued to mine.
"I'm capable of protecting myself," I quickly interjected, flashing a small smile in Cynthius's direction.
"But this-" Cynthius sighed, rubbing his hands over his face before staring at me, his eyes filled with worry. "This is big, Jules. You've got the blood of a Goddess running through your veins! I'm surprised you haven't been taken yet... or worse."
"I told you, Cynthius-" I continued steadily, staring back at him with sincerity. "I can look after myself. Besides, I'm sure the number of people who are able to claim me went down the moment Damien did," I glanced at my mate and, when his lips quirked upwards, I felt my cheeks burn and I was forced to look away with embarrassment. "Emmett said Damien was more powerful than a lot of other-"
"Stop," Damien sharply interrupted and I immediately looked to him with a confused frown. His eyes flashed black and I unconsciously leant away from the table, noting his muscles tightening in his upper arms –a sign his fingers had curled into fists beneath the table.
"You never mentioned anything about Emmett being there," he ground out, those black eyes glaring right at me. My lip stung as I bit down on it in an attempt to seem unafraid.
"He helped me, Damien. If it weren't for him I might've-"
"He helped you?" Damien repeated, surprise obvious in his voice. "Did he touch you?" those black, unseeing eyes continued to focus on me, completely unwavering.
