Fallen By You

Chapter 3

Ashley POV

I was following a Cadillac Escalade. They pulled up in front of the house next door. Must be our new neighbor. I pulled in front of the car and my house. I watched through the mirror a short, petite girl hopped out. I opened my door and slid out. The girl looked at me. My heart pounded. I stared curiously. She smiled and went to her trunk. I walked up to the door as Jinxx flung it open.

"New neighbor is here," I said pushing past him.

"Gather the others," he said before walking out.

"GUYS AND GALS, GET YOUR ASSES DOWN HERE!" A bunch of feet pounded down the stairs.

"Jinxx wants us to do something because the neighbor just arrived. He's outside." I said. We walked outside and stood by Jinxx. The girl walked around her car carrying a box. I noticed her look over here.

"Babe, go talk to her," Alex spoke. Chrissy nodded and walked over there. Me being the one with super hearing, I could hear everything they were saying.

"Hello! I'm Chrissy! Would you like some help?"

"Uh sure" The girl hesitated. We gathered in a circle.

"Don't use your powers in front of her," Jinxx said.

"Yeah, yeah we know. Don't be idiots." CC spoke. I looked over to see Chrissy and the girl talking. We waited outside till Chrissy came back.

"Alex, CC we are taking her to the mall for shopping then to the food store with us." CC jumped for joy.

"YAY A NEW FRIEND!" He exclaimed excitedly before running in the house. We all shook our heads and followed. I walked up to my room and shut the door before hopping on my bed. What is going on? Whenever I see the girl my heart races, my palms sweat, my chest tightens and I find it hard to breathe. I heard the front door open.

"Oh, um excuse me for a moment," CC spoke. The door shut. I chuckled. It reopened.

"You Chrissy's friend?" That made me shoot up. I suddenly had a strong urge to go downstairs. I got up and walked out to the hall. The urge started to fade but was still there. I sat down in front of my door, my back against it. I listened in on the conversation downstairs.

"Uh, hi. I'm Samantha, Chrissy's friend, and neighbor."

"Oh hi. I'm Jake. I live with Chrissy too. Basically, anyone you meet in this house lives here. Including this guy"

"I'm Andy."

The door next to mine opened. Chrissy and Alex walked out. Well, Chrissy ran. Alex looked down at me confused for a moment. Realization flooded her face. She patted my shoulder. I looked up at her.

"You'll get used to it," She said walking away making me more confused.

"CC, YOU LEFT HER ALONE WITH THESE TWO!" I heard Chrissy yell.

"AT LEAST IT WASN'T ASHLEY!"

"HEY!" I yelled.

"YOU KNOW ITS TRUE ASH!" Alex yelled. I shook my head. I stopped listening after that. I zoned out, turning off my hearing. A door flung open. CC ran out and down the stairs. I stood up and dusted off my pants, before turning my hearing back on. The door closed. I walked down the stairs and into the living room. Jake and Andy sat on the couch talking. Jinxx walked out of the room and into his study.

"Hey guys, can I talk to you for a moment?" They stopped talking and turned to me. Andy scooted over and patted the space between them.

"Yeah, I need to talk to you guys too." He said. I walked over and sat down.
