My Life

Part 3

Mumbai-

It holds a lot of sweet and bitter memories for me. At present we were in plane. Pia in between me and Ayush . She was continuously talking to her uncle about her cartoons, her friends, her dolls, her favourites, her first plane ride. She was going on babbling to him and he was listening to her like it was a serious issue. The air hostess too was adoring her babbling. And after lot of talking she finally slept in my arms.

"She is the most adorable kid I have ever met. She looks happy with you and her happiness enlightens your face." he said caressing my baby's hand.

And he is right she brings happiness to my dark life.

"Thanks a lot di for finally agreeing to come back. Everyone will be so happy to see you back. This is going to be the best surprise in their lives." He said looking at me.

"Ayush don't forget about my condition for coming back."

"Ya ya I know you don't want to stay with us but you want to stay alone in an apartment with Pia, I get that. But I'm happy at least you are coming back to the city. And ha I can visit you anytime, to meet my niece thats my condition . Done." he said extending his hand for sealing the deal.

"OK fine done." I shook his hand.

We landed finally but my baby was still asleep. Ayush had already informed the driver to pick us up. We left to the apartment where Ayush used to stay during his studying days.

( Well Ayush is a doctor and he works at my dad's hospital. My dad is also a doctor and my mom's a housewife. So you can see I'm from a well known, reputed and wealthy family.)
We reached the apartment.

"Sorry the apartment is not clean I'll tell someone to clean it for you immediately." He was about to dial a number on his phone.

I placed Pia on the couch and stopped him "hey it's okay I'll get it cleaned you go home and take rest I'll manage it "

"Di stop behaving like an outsider wait I'll call someone to clean it." And he started talking to someone on phone.

And I started to explore the apartment it was a two bed room, one kitchen,one bathroom and a hall. It's was bigger than my last apartment.
After exploring I started cleaning it.
Later Ayush too joined me.

After half and hour later the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it." He said.
"Okay"

Ayush returned with someone.
"Di this is Shanta the housemaid, she will help you in cleaning the apartment."
" Okay."
" And I'm going now I'll come back in the evening with mom and dad, be ready."
He was about to leave but seeing my face he suddenly stepped towards me and hugged me.

"Di I know this is going to be hard for you but trust me they love you alot and they seriously want you in their lifes again and I'll be there too. So just don't panic okay." He gave me a last glance and left for home.

Shanta and me cleaned the whole apartment. She was a good person to talk too. She even agreed to come daily to help me in my household chores. she was even good with Pia who woke up about one hour after Ayush left. She was missing her uncle dearly but was happy to hear that he is going to come back later.

After Shanta left, me and my life ate pasta and went out shopping for today's dinner.

I do know every well each and every lane and the shops present in the corner, as I was born and brought up here . We went to a shop and started buying things. Pia was grabbing each and everything she wanted or laid her eyes on . My trolley was filled with lots and lots of chocolates, cakes,chips and the list goes on.
