Maya's Pov-

"I can be your friend only if answer all my questions?" I asked the little girl.
"Yes!!" She hopped happily getting my approval. "Ayu Uncle says I'm verly smarlt kid I can answerl all questions?"

"Good. Can you tell me who's your dad?"
"Sid uncle's my dad."
"No not him.....I mean before Sid Uncle."
She made a sad face and replied "I don't want to know who my dad is. Mommy always cryls wheneverl someone ask herl this question. So I neverl ask herl........ Mommy was my dad too beforel Sid Uncle came." That innocence in her eyes when she mentioned about her mom's pain made me think again about those photos. Was she really assaulted by that man. I have to find out.

"Now will you be my friend grlandma....please?"
"Yes but call me friend okay."
"Okay"
"Do you like chocolate cake?"
"Yes!!" She is just like my Golu.
"Next time we meet I'm going to bake it for you."
"Yay...... You can bake frliend, I too want to learn."
"Okay then I'll teach you."

"Princess where are you?" Came Sid's voice.
"Friend promise me you will not tell anyone about your this new friend?" I held my pinkie towards her.
"I promise" she replied.
"Now go Sid is searching for you."
"Okay.....but I want to tell you something." She signalled me to bend to her level. And she kissed me on my cheek and left.

"There you are. I have been searching you. Where were you?" Came Sid's voice.
"I was drlinking waterl." She replied.
"Come let's go and play before your Ayu Uncle come and gets you." And they left.

Sid's Pov-

I had lot of fun with my princess today. It's the best day of my life. I never wanted this day to end when Ayu came knocking on the door.

"Cupcake!! Come let's go your mom's waiting for you. And birthday boy here's a gift from me to you happy birthday." Ayu came inside.

"Thank you Ayu Uncle. "
"You are welcome champ."
"Ayush wait eat something and go. At least have some cake." Tejas jiju said.
"Okay I can wait for food." He replied.
Mom entered the hall. Ayush greeted her. She responded and sat opposite to him. He felt a bit uncomfortable but never showed it.

"Had fun today cupcake?"
"Yes alot. Sid Uncle, I and golu had lot of fun. We played lots of games." She replied narrating everything to him. I still held her in my arms not leaving her. It's the last time I can hold her like this. I never know when such day would come. From tomorrow again my life would be empty and meaningless.

"Thank you Nuthan di. The cake is delicious. Let's go cupcake." Ayush said coming towards us.

"Come I'll drop you till the car." Still holding her in my arms.

Ayu noticed the feelings I was going through so he didn't protest and came along with me.
Pia said her goodbyes.
We walked till the car listening to Pia's talks. And here comes the car.
"Sid bhai take your time. I'm not gonna rush. And if you want I can bring Pia to you without di knowing about it."

"No Ayu thanks for your concern but I don't want Angel to feel betrayed. I can survive watching them from far. But you know it's just a bit difficult after finally having her with me the whole day."

"I can understand Sid bhai."
"Thanks..... So princess take care of yourself and your mom okay. Don't bother your mom. Always love her. Okay."
"Okay"
"Bye baby" and I kissed her all over and made her seat in the car. I was about to leave when Ayu called me.
"Sid bhai. Di still loves you alot. She will come back to you don't lose hope. And please stop drinking she hates it when you get drunk and has to carry you back home." He said and winked at me.

Next day morning-

From the day Angel left me I couldn't sleep properly. Drinking use to make me sleep but as I promised my princess I cannot do that. So basically I had a rough night yesterday. I freshened up and went downstairs to have breakfast.
