I smiled at the morning sun peeking through my windows, content with the amount of sleep i managed to get. With the smell of pancakes lingering from the kitchen to my nose, I rose from my bed.

Today Madison, her boyfriend and I were going on a day out. It wasn't really a big day, we were just going to shop at the mall. Sitting upright in my bed, I checked my phone for any notifications to see that indeed my doubts were right and Madison had messaged me.

MaddyBoo: we’ll be there in 15 mins ;) x

Riiight. 15 minutes. This girl expects me to get ready in 15 minutes. 15 short minutes. i let out a groan. Deciding to confront Madison about this short amount of time she had given me to be ready, later, I threw my phone on my bed in a hurry and ran into the bathroom. I did my morning routine and got changed into Black leggings along with a hot pink tank top. To complete the outfit, i threw on a pair of pink converse' and a chunky bangle.

Standing in front of the mirror, i studied my hair. Not in the mood to go all out, i simply let it out in naturally loose waves. Before leaving the room, I applied some mascara and pink lip-gloss. I smacked my lips together, happy with my appearance. As I shut my door behind me i checked my phone to see that twenty minutes had passed. I was grateful.

I reached the kitchen, only to be greeted by a very tired-looking father and a jumpy mother giving the table a quick swab with a wet cloth along with a peice of toast hanging out of her mouth. How pleasant.

“Morning dan,” dad nodded towards me, sleepily rubbing at his eyes. I watched as he flicked through some files whilst dragging a sip of his coffee.

“Morning!” I replied, feeling myself grow tired just by looking at his tired state.

I reached out for a pancake and began munching on it. “I’m going out with maddy, guys.”  I announced to my parents, who simply nodded to show their acknowlegdement.

I swallowed the last piece as I heard a car honk coming from outside. I smiled slightly as i gulped all of my orange juice in one go. I spluttered as i drank too fast. My parents raised their eyebrows at my small cough attack. Recovering, i giggled a little as i got up, giving mum and dad a kiss on the cheek. "Byee,"

Jogging out of the house, i noticed Liam- Madisons boyfriends car. I greeted the duo as i jumped in. They simply ignored and continued to look ahead at the road. I shrugged it off realising that they were too tired to talk.

Rolling my eyes after a short while, i reached forward in between them till my mouth was in level with their ears, “HEYYY!” I cheered, being the energetic person I am.

“Danielle... hey,” Liam spoke, still half asleep. “Hi” Madison groaned. She’s not much of a morning person.

"Do you want me to drive, Liam? I mean, it's dangerous to drive when you're so sleepy," i told. That was partly the truth. I actually wanted to drive because I felt like driving. Catching on to this, his eyes slightly widened.

"Nice try, but you of all people are not driving this car. Don't you remember last time?" He reminded me.

"Hey! It wasn't my fault that the police car was there when i was speeding," i defended

"And the time before that!"

"Chill. I only scratched the side of a parked car. They didnt even know because i drove away,"

"And before that?" he rose his eyebrows.

"I-"

"Enough, guys!" Madison declared. "Liam, continue driving. Danielle, you are not driving again, don't make up excuses because you know you were wrong in all those situations," She clarified, a little more awake now.
