After Jason beat me up, I just lay on the floor, looking up at the ceiling. I sighed for like the thousandth time.

My life was a mess. My own best friend since forever betrayed me. I got kidnapped by one of the most dangerous criminals. What hurt the most was that I couldn’t even apologise properly to my dad. I really wanted to see him.

Then I realised. He must be looking for me. I frowned as I thought about how sad and heart broken he’d be right now. My eyes pricked, threatening fresh tears to fall out.

Hell no.

I’ve been strong for so long, I wont let something like this ruin that. I’m a strong girl, not weak. My dad’s taught me better than this. I’m a fighter. I can’t give up already.

I sucked in some breath, trying to hold the tears back. I softly placed a hand on my stomach, wincing right away. I groaned in pain, taking in a deep breath before slowly blowing it out.

I heard some shuffling outside the door of the room I was in and as expected, the door knob twisted a little.

Ugh, what now?!

The door fully opened to reveal Ryan. I sighed, slightly happy it wasn’t anyone else. Ryan was quite nice. I mean he's the only who's tried to actually maintain a civil conversation with me in this place. He was quite friendly actually. Nice guy.

“Err, Jason’s calling you,” He spoke tenderly, his eyes hovering over the bruises on my body and finally landing back on my eyes with a sympathetic look.

What’s with that fool always calling me? Like can't he come and tell me whatever it is, himself? But, noooo, I’m the one that has to suffer and go to him.

I nodded, attempting to get up. “ouch,” I hissed under my breath, falling back down.

I had no energy in me because of how brutally he had beaten me up. Thankfully, Ryan rushed over to me, picking me up off the floor slowly, trying not to hurt me.

“Thanks,” I murmured, in a grateful tone.

He shrugged, looking down. “Are you okay?” he asked, shyly.

I smirked before playfully rolling my eyes.

“Sure I am. I’m feeling so good that I could go bungee-jumping. Wanna come with?” I replied. He chuckled at my sarcastic response.

“You’re funny.” He complimented.

I let out a fake girly sigh, before jokingly inspecting my nails, just like I've seen those over-confident, snobby girls at school do. “I already know,” I joked. “No need to remind me of my perfect qualities,”

“Come on. We have to go,” He grinned.

I nodded, following him out of the room. When we reached downstairs I saw Jason.

“What do you want, McCann?” I monotonously said.

“What did I say about the attitude? Lose it. We don’t want a repeat of what happened earlier, do we...” He folded his arms, raising an eyebrow.

“No, sorry,” I bowed my head, helplessly, letting the bad girl act go for a few moments just so I don't I have to go through that killer beating once again.

“Great. I want you to clean the kitchen,” He spat, sending me multiple glares. “Go ask Madison for some cleaning supplies,” He smirked.

That faggot. He knows that I don’t wanna talk to her, then why send me to her?

I sighed loudly, looking for Madison. “Give me the cleaning stuff,” I said inaudibly. I stared at her blankly until she finally turned away from speculating her 'wonderful' self in the mirror. See that? Sarcasm at its finest.
