Chapter 8

I have cheese puffs and crackers on my shoes. "Uggh, Ameen watch out", I growl at him as I clean this mess up. He give me an apologetic look. "Sorry sis, I wasn't paying any attention. I'm just trying to hurry up and leave soon", he says stuffing snacks I to his bookbag. "Peace out CHUMPS!!", I say to him as he leaves out of the house.

He gives a little wave the says "See ya soon Lila Bug", he says with a smirk. I roll my eyes as he closes the door. Well that's my little brother gone to his friends house taking a bunch of snacks like he'll never freaking eat again. That him. That's seventeen year old Qasim Ameen Yahya my brother.

I hate to say this but I will miss him when I get married. He is like diamonds to me at the moment and I am still the Gold in his eyes. I love my lil bro.

"Jalilah baby are you downstairs? Your mother and I would like to have a talk with you", my abi says walking down the stairs. "I'm in the kitchen", I call. "Yayha maybe another time", I hear my umm say to by abi. "Sawdah baby, now I think will be great. I know what I am doing", I hear say just as they walk into the kitchen with a smile on their faces just sitting there waiting to be seen.

"Salaamu Alaykum. What have you got to tell me abi?", I ask with a look of curiosity. "Wa Alaykum Salaam", they both say. "Your Auntie Jamilah called last night and told us about a newly weds class for women. It's before they get married. And you're going obviously. Also I expect you to be there on time at 4:00pm with no hesitation. Now As Salaamu Alaykum", my abi says walking away out of the kitchen. I mumble my salaams then I look at my mother. She shrugs then walks out after him.

Thanks for the shrugging ummi I appreciated it honestly.

I grab my cell phone off of my bed to call both Jannah and Aisha. I hoped that they would agree to come with me to my Aunts house. I'm not really a big fan of going to my Auntie Jamilah's house. She okay and everything but I really do need my friends for support a hundred percent.

"Salaamu Alaykum Chucky Bear. What's up?", Jannah asked all cheery. "I need a favor", I say into the phone. "Does it have anything to do with going to your Auntie Jamilah's house?", she asked. "Yeah", I whispered. "And-.

Before I could finish Aisha answered her line. "Salaamu Alaykum Lila. What's up little one?", she asked sounding cheery also. I don't know why she calls me little on when we're the exact same age. "Jalilah has to go to her Auntie Jamilah's house and pretty much she can't go alone", Jannah says speaking for me. "Oh. Cool this should be fun", Aisha said. I roll my eyes.

My auntie Jamilah is dangerous. She teaches you about your body and other stuff. Ewwww! I just don't have the guts to listen to it today. But Qadr Allah. I guess it will benefit me. "So you too have agreed to come huh?", I asked into the phone. "Yes. we can't let you this by yourself Lila. We're family not just friends but family", Aisha said into the phone. I could tell that she was serious. Shoot. I was serious.

"Shukran y'all, love ya much" I say about to hang up. "Afwaan Jalilah as salaamu Alaykum", they both say hanging up. I hang up then throw my phone on my bed. I do a happy dance because I'm happy. Yay! I don't have to see the dragon by myself. Astagfirallah for saying that I shouldn't have but whatever.

I had quickly got into my car getting ready to go pick up Jannah. Aisha was going to be driving her own car and plus she took quite long getting dressed. "Ya Jalilah", my Abi called out. Ugh! "Na'am (yes)?" He looked at me and smiled. "Be on your best behavior. You know Jamilah reports", he said with a look of seriousness. "Ok. Love ya. Peace!", I shouted closing my car window and driving off.

I pulled into Jannah's driveway and saw that she was on her porch waiting for me. She waved the walked towards the car with a smile. "I hope this isn't like last time", she said getting into the car. "I pray it has nothing to do with last time", I laughed driving out of her driveway onto the street.
